Parker Fury Undercard

Post by Taansend »

Anyone want to have an educated guess as to who will be on the undercard in Manchester?

I've heard Tyson will be fighting but that's a bit like the transfer rumours flying around at the moment

Does W@rren have any Manc based fighters other than Flanagan? When is the Flanagan Viedjo (spelling) fight happening?

Cheers :TU:

Not Tyson, LOL.

They have to have another Heavyweight on the card in case Hughie pulls out.

Bellew vs Allen

Edit: Nevermind, didn't realize it was Allegedlywarren.

It's a Duco/Hennessy promotion - don't think Warren has anything to do with it.

My educated guess would be , I wouldn't worry about the undercard as it will get cancelled anyway .

I watched the first few minutes of the presser today until I could take no more when the duco guys congratulated Tyson for beating Wlad 2 years ago.....i dont blame them really what else coulf they say to him or his dad John who for whatever reason was also on the too table. This entire event is going to be a complete shambles.

It will not sell any tickets, nobody in their right mind will pay ppv for it, Hennessey is a crap promoter.....
It's just going to be embarrassing.

Was planning to but I couldnt get a ticket...I was on the phone to the ticket agents from 12pm but the lines where blocked, tried the website but they said they're all sold out. I can't afford to buy a ticket on the huge secondary market for this massive event so sadly I will have to give it a miss...

Is this sh!t PPV? If it is they need Flanagan vs Verdejo & Saunders vs Monroe Jnr. Along with Hennessy's guys in a proper fight and some BN prospects. Needs big promotion!

Same. The press conference was embarrassing. I genuinely feel sorry for Hughie. It's his moment in the spotlight and he should be given time to talk. Why was Tyson there?

The only way I see this happening is if Hughie is still essentially being paid in house and the purse is Parker on his own. If Tyson Wlad couldn't do 10k at Manchester then this isn't getting half that.

It won't be Verdejo for Flanagan - Frank said he had all but agreed terms with Arum then they came back looking for much more cash (Verdejo's team) so definately no happening he was indicating.

I'm the same - I don't see how they sell any tickets to cover anywhere near the costs.

The purse bid the 1st time was pretty decent for the fight in NZ so I don't see Parker coming to the UK for much less even allowing for it getting him exposure in the UK.

It'll be called off. Are tickets on sale yet? I had completely forgot.

It'll be a shitfest.

Think the only Warren fight if note that could be then would be Williams - Smith 2, but with any sense he'll keep that for his own show.

Zelfa is up for a British or English title (can't recall) but again, best off keeping that to himself too.

If warren was involved at all he would have been at the press conference yesterday. Very interesting what the sitatuion is with Warren and the Furys now. Sure he'll say in his next IFl interview.

Warren himself said the fight is 100% off.

That's why Flanagan was calling out Linares etc.

Doesn't mean Flanagans not on the bill or the show - but if you watch the IFL interview with Warren he looked 100% off - said Verdejo 100% didn't want the fight and had backed out twice previously and started asking for crazy money to come.

Hence Flanagan calling out Linares and saying he didn't have an opponent.
