WBC cuts ties with China Federation

The World Boxing Council has confirmed the cessation of relations with the Chinese Boxing Federation. No reason was given for the split. Since 2002, the WBC has made a considerable effort to boost professional boxing activities in China. They were the first body to hold an annual convention in Chengdu, the first body to stage a world championship fight in China and the first body to crown a Chinese world champion (Xiong Chao Zhong). The WBC intends to continue to work actively to develop the sport in that country.

I guess they severed ties because the WBC thinks that they can run boxing in China themselves. Then they get more money and don't have to share it.

I hoped Wilder had to face Jun Long Zhang once, who seems to be better when I look at his statistics, but it seems to be avoided this way, or do I understand this wrongly?
