Prime Curtis Cokes vs Prime John H. Stracey

Post by scorpio83 »

Who would win the match between Cokes the man, whom Jose Napoles took the Welterweight Title for the first time and John H. Stracey, whom Napoles lost his Welterweight Title for his second and last reight? I think Curtis Cokes would decision John H. Stracey in 15 rounds, but tell me what you guys think. :box:

Prime Cokes would win. Stracey was an accidental champion who never mastered basic skills -- but could throw non-stop and overwhelm some opponents.

Stracey was lucky. He beat a physically kaput Napoles and then beat a physically wiped out Hedgemond Lewis which amazed a lot of experts -- but not me because I knew those 2 guys were pretty much done with Boxing.. Stracey had a method to his madness.. He swarmed over opponents with long flurries of straight punches.. It was unique.. It's a strategy he invented. Nobody taught him to do that.. In another joke he was favored to beat Carlos Palomino.

Palomino beat up and knocked out Stracey with basic boxing and punching skills that were far superior.. "It should be an easy fight." Palomino said. "This guy is a fraud. He has a weird way of fighting and I just have to keep my spacing good and box him." Cokes was a pretty fair basic boxer as well.
