Ward to sign with Arum ???

Post by boxing_rocks »

Why would Arum want the spoiled diva who is used to getting millions without having to attract audience? Is he hoping to match Ward with Joshua or another good draw ?

Ward

The most overrated boxerof this generation. Some delusional talk about him like having a chance against prime jones, when ward struggles to beat sullivan barrera.

Than the joshua talk. A 6'1 feather fisted sm against a 6'6 hw with foreman like punching power. I dislike ward, but i am no sardist. I dont ward to fight josh. He could lose his life and i am against it.

Isn't he still talking about retiring?
I expect him to mess everyone around while hanging onto the belts as long as possible, getting as much attention as possible, and stalling the LHW division until no one cares, then retiring while Cruiser grabs all the attention.
The guy's a d*ck.

I remember guys in 2008 saying the same things about Floyd.

... and of course Floyd took on Golovkin and Kovalev after that    Ward taking on Joshua is more dangerous adventure than Floyd taking on Golovkin at 160.

Ward with Top Rank would be an interesting combo. I never expected Roc Nation to be in the fight game long term...50 Cent's fling with boxing was short-lived too.

Wow, any promoter who likes to make money would know to steer the hell clear of Andre Bored. seems odd this one.

I'd love for this to happen, especially if Top Rank gets the rights to Beterbiev. BrokeNation is a joke.

Would probably be good for Ward's career.

Not really, he has Gvozdyk and is going to sign Betrbiev. Ward will just have to take a pay cut.

No way he agrees to that now when he is a "p4p #1".

There a difference between both. Ward in his prime is a very good boxer. Floyd in his prime is a phenomenal boxer top 10 p4p atg. Just 2 different leagues. Also remember, even mayweather had tough times, the loss to castillo, the near losses to maidana. Him doing 2 year vacation instead of facing prime pac. Him fighting b level like ndou or bruseles instead of going up and facing prime tszyu.

Ward has enough problems with bertebiev, adonis and gvozdyk. These 3 guys can all end a fight with 1 punch. He should about them insteadof talking nonsense like joshua. Poor ward, he would get badly hurt vs usyk or joshua.

Stfu u retard. Atleast he had some balls to move up against the killer (Kovalev). Unlike Canelo and Golovkin those two bastards who fought papers from welterweight.

How is Ward overrated please.

If you do not like defensive and technicaly good boxers like Ward , Floyd or Klitschko than you should not be atleast a fornicating hypocrite.

Golovkin unlike Ward has never moved up and never faced any "killer" like Ward did.

He DUCKED Andre Ward and everyone knows that. Instead of that he wasted his time with facing big stiff idiots like Wade lmao.

But Golovkin calling welterweight Floyd was OK for most of you haters yeah?:D

I like Technical boxer, loma, inoue...

I dislike boring boxer and dirty boxer, ward, floyd..

Nobody ducked Nobody. Ward didnt want to go down and fight ggg and ggg didnt want to go up and fight ward. They had their own business cleaning out their division. Ward bevame the best super middleweight and ggg tje best middleweight.

Ggg fought very good opponents, he fought 2 of boxing hardest punchers p4p with excellent ko ratios in lemieaux and jacobs. He fought one of the best ww in the world and now he faces somebody who is regarded by boxrec as #1 p4p boxer in the world. All he does is win in an action style.

All ward does is win in a boring way or cheating way. I dont like him and his team who gave $$$ to the ref that the ref closes his eyes.

At least those guys are exciting to watch and could conceivably gain a respectable following.

Well, yeah. I'm sure Cotto said the same until he signed with GBP. BrokeNation is a joke, and they're dying.

Of course, personal circumstance change over time, but to speculate about something that Ward himself has already dismissed, is a tad futile.

There are clearly no immediate short-term plans for the S.O.G. to join Top Rank. That may change in the long-term, but until then... end of thread!

Strange decision by Andre Ward to go to TR if there's any truth to it.
If he's expecting to box only once a year and sit on the sidelines then I suppose I could square that because it's hardly like TR really seem to care about their boxers.
