Good to see Arum working with ESPN to show the type of fights HBO wouldn't pay for,
but aren't necessarily bad fights.
Used to be months between any fight on Showtime or HBO.

Yea Top Rank doing a great job promoting boxing, I wonder how much the fighters get paid, how much espn pays, and how much Arum pays, I suspect Arum is losing money on these fights with the intention of helping boxing and helping himself with larger pay per view later. I am curious about the economics of this ESPN thing does anyone know?

The fighters are getting paid the same, any of these big fighters have minimums on their contracts. It's not like ESPN doesn't have more money than HBO to begin with. I don't know the breakdown on the percentages, but I can promise you that Arum wouldn't lose a penny for the good of Boxing.victor-romeo wrote:Yea Top Rank doing a great job promoting boxing, I wonder how much the fighters get paid, how much espn pays, and how much Arum pays, I suspect Arum is losing money on these fights with the intention of helping boxing and helping himself with larger pay per view later.
