That story has been doing the rounds for decades, along with 'murdered by the Krays' and similar. Not sure we will ever know the truth.

I knew about the murder theory but the rest was news to me.

I was reading about Mills recently and this was mentioned but just briefly and it was fobbed off, the article I read was from about 20 years ago, I saw this new article last week, pretty fascinating but not much real evidence

I posted the link over at Eastside Boxing and they DELETED it...

but then again they are famous for giving NO Space to anything that doesn't suit their blown up, very narrow account(s) of Boxing History that 'they' don't agree with even when links & reports are presented!

2 New Books on Mills and this, one by an ex Detective, the other a prominent MP... so theses are 'connected' people.

IF nothing else they should be compelling at least!

I somehow remember hearing this before. But who knows? With so much media around nowadays you'll hear stories about anyone & everyone if it can't be disproved.

Like the other prostitute killing Jack, there is money to be paid by writing books with "compelling" evidence to the guilt of someone. There has been "conclusive" proof of everyone from and including the Prince of Wales being the Ripper.

One thing I would be interested to know however is if Mills was actually ever an official suspect and if any of that part is true which is probably the only provable part as there will be official records.

I've only read the previous biographies of Mills. Back in the day these types of books concentrated on the 'boxing' story and were meant for 'fans'.
However I did find it peculiar to read that Mills and his wife shared their home with his wife's' ex- husband , the South African boxer Don Mc Corqudale.
I also know that former Met Det Superintendent and Board member, Nipper Read, always said that the speculation that Mills was murdered was utter nonsense.
