Inoue must demand a fight with Rungvisai.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:Inoue by tko.

I dont like inoue. He was always quiet about facing roman, estrada and now wangek.

That's totally wrong.apollo creed wrote:Jip wrote:I dont like inoue. He was always quiet about facing roman, estrada and now wangek.

Inoue said lot of time when Gonzales was undefeated that he wants to face him.
see http://www.BS.com/naoya-inoue- ... 17--113138
that's Gonzales who declines the fight against Inoue http://www.BS.com/chocolatito- ... as--109181
Inoue was very motivated and was in the attendance when Gonzales fought Cuadras.
Don't forget that Inoue is only 24 years old. He won his first won title after 6 bouts when he was only 20 years old. Then after only one defense he moves up to two categories and took his second world title for his 8th fights against a champion who defended his world title more than 15 times.
Inoue wanted Gonzales and Yamanaka. But both of them lost their fight. Now I think that Inoue is searching new objectifs.
Comparing Inoue to boxers like Mayweather and Stevenson is a complete no sense.
When Inoue signed as a pro fighter he wants to fight only the best fighters. source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naoya_Ino ... _flyweight
His first fight was against the champion of Philippines
His second fight was against the champion of Thailand
His third fight was against the number 1 contender of Japan
His 4th fight was against the champion of Japan who was ranked number 3 of the WBA
His 5th fight was for the vacant OPBF (equivalent of Asian+Oceania title) against the number 2 OPBF (Inoue was the number 1 OPBF)
His 6th fight was against the WBC champion

Inoue is still only 24. He doesn't have to be that aggressive about chasing the division's best yet. Better to let the career build gradually than to get knocked out when you're still 24. If I were doing the matchmaking for him, I would be looking to immediately match him up with Rau'shee Warren, John Riel Casimero, or the faded Roman Gonzalez (but only because he's faded).Jip wrote:I dont like inoue. The worst part about Inoue's matchmaking is that 5 of his past 6 opponents have been scrubs, and he hasn't even been getting consistent experience against top 15 opponents. Forget about chasing fights with gods like Wangek and Estrada, first he needs to upgrade from opponents like Antonio Nieves to (consistently fighting) top 15 challengers.

Re: Inoue vs Sor Rungvisai, please! Who wins this ?
Inoue and Gonzalez held a press conference a few weeks ago basically stating they would fight if they both won on September 9th. As Roman lost the Monster may well move up. Whilst unification bouts do over rule mandatories it's unlikely the WBC would delay Estrada vs Srisaket as they had to push back the mandatory once already.
But hey, let's hate on the guy already, you know...he's small, from a different demographic, and isn't based in the US, he's all hype right...

Inoue by late KO. The guy is the new Godzilla.
Too bad he's a small fighter and won't get the attention he deserves.

Inoue by TKO in a slugfest!
Re: Inoue vs Sor Rungvisai, please! Who wins this ?
Inoue gets stopped here. Rungvisai is a horrible style matchup. Inoue also hasn't fought anyone on the level of Gonzalez or Cuadras. We don't know if he can take a punch. Rungvisai will test his chin and tear down his body. It'll be a brutal one, but I can't see Inoue coming out the winner here.

I could see this happen. Rungvisai is tough , powerful and versatile.Mexi-Box wrote:Inoue gets stopped here. Rungvisai is a horrible style matchup. Spot on.
He needs a better challenge but this is not a guy who deserves criticism for not hunting the very best fights, not yet.
Looking at the Boxrec rankings, it's a weight class busy with quality fighters.
I'd accept any of the top 9 as a next opponent, including the likes of Roman and Cuadras who are coming off losses, they are still quality operators and would give him great tests.
He could realistically fill the next 2-3 years with busy schedule of world class opposition without even fighting a rematch.
I want to see Rungvisai vs Inoue but I wont be slating Inoue if that isn't his next match.
Roman, Cuadras, Estrada, Yafai/Ishida, Casamiro, Warren , Ancajas or Rungvisai would all be solid picks
