George Groves vs. Jamie Cox - Who's watching?

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

More of a question is, who's buying this?

I'm not buying but I am going to get a stream going.

Now Groves vs. Eubank, I would buy..

The Groves vs. Cox undercard doesn't appeal to me either.. The £9.95 price isn't too bad, I know Groves vs. Eubank will likely be higher..

But yeh, to sum it up, not buying, but definitely watching tonight.

Wonder what the odds are on Cox getting DQ'd! Wouldn't surprise me.

Definitely not buying. Won’t go to any great lengths to find a stream, will probably just have a quick look on Facebook.

If they'd had a few undercard fights that were interesting I'd have bought it. But Nielsen v Ryder doesn't do anything for me so I'll pass.

Is it being streamed from the wbss website at all? Might watch if it's on there for a small fee...

If this was free I'd probably watch it if I wasn't doing anything else.
ITV get their income from advertising. The people who buy this event will actually be paying money to watch a whole load of adverts as well as some boxing and listening to the build up.
Sad really. The whole PPV thing is causing me to basically switch off as far as boxing is concerned.

I've never bought ITV Box Office.. Doe they still play adverts?

Why wouldn’t they? The robbing bastards at Sky do.

I remember when I used to order WWE on Sky Box Office.. They never used to include adverts. but that was a long time ago. I do know boxing ppv's between rounds they still have adverts. If you're paying extra to watch, they shouldn't include ads :brick:

Not buying no way. I Will have a look for a stream or periscope but if nothing decent is about then no big deal will wait for YouTube

I am very keen to watch this fight but it is no way PPV worthy and I will be hoping to catch it for free

In all honesty, I've little interest in it. Groves never seems to have caught fire for me and I just see him as a good opponent rather than a headline attraction. Him against Cox does absolutely nothing for me so I'll probably just watch the rugby or speedway on bt sport/eurosport

I don't think eubank or groves really warrant my ppv cash

Not really. Essentially, we have a fella who's been tested once above European level who has been beaten and then another fringe world level world guy who has won 1 out of 4/5 world title fights.

Hardly screams ppv worthy

It would depend on value.. £9.95 isn't too bad, but it will be higher.. But you are right.. PPV is overused.. Groves vs. Eubank is just not PPV..

I'll be buying it as I want to see the contest and I don't agree with stealing via streams etc.

Each to their own mate. I personally feel boxing fans are again getting shafted by this fight being PPV and if anyone gets a good link to the fight please pass it my way as I ain't paying for this.

Does anyone know who the referee is for this fight tonight?

I can see a Groves win by DQ if he starts getting on top and Cox is looking for a way out.

I'd have chucked a fiver for it but as the undercard is rubbish I'll give it a miss, got Joshua in a couple of weeks and the way things are going there will be a PPV every Saturday night at this rate

Doesn't look like I can watch this, I don't do dodgy streams either and according to the website there's no Spanish broadcaster involved. Shame they don't offer a stream from their website in this case...

Yeah, if it was a tenner and I had nothing to do, the wife was out and there was nothing on, I would probably be tempted.
