AJ is somehow similar with Sergey Kovalev stylistically but slower. I think the version of Fury who beat Wlad would pretty much toy Joshua because he's a basic-straightforward type of fighter. Anyway Takam is a good win (better than any win that Wilder had) and I think the stopage was alright because Takam was eating some clean-hard punches.

The only thing remotely accurate is that takam is better than anyone Wilder has beaten. Everything else ranges from wrong to outlandish.

Based on that performance. Wilder would need to wait 6 rounds and then pounce. KO win for Wilder..
Joshua could've finished in round 4 IMO, and he was desperate to do so, hittinh after the bell.

Wilder can definitely win, I don't see it going 6 rounds either way.

So isn't AJ a basic-straightforward fighter ?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:The only thing remotely accurate is that takam is better than anyone Wilder has beaten. Everything else ranges from wrong to outlandish.

As 'wild' Wilder is I think he has a decent chance to hurt or drop AJ. Wilder has a better athleticism, stamina, speed and explosiveness than AJ but he's reckless when he throws his punches.Ruthless-RKO wrote:Based on that performance. With a fair ref, Fury will beat AJ on points pretty comfortably.
We all know though as soon as AJ lands a couple of unanswered punches the ref will jump in. Gotta protect Hearn's Cash Cow.

Takam is a very good fighter.. He would go the distance with Wilder like he did Parker.. But Wilder might actually beat him -- I don't think Parker did.
Fury wouldn't do anything to Joshua except absorb a lot of right hands from him and get knocked out.. Wladimir Klitschko is a poor attacker and lacks any body attack whatsoever.. Klitschko has no attacking or inside game.. Joshua would be on top of Fury and inside his long arms.. He'd be in his body and he'd soon have Fury in trouble with combinations.. Joshua is the worst possible style nightmare for Fury.. There'd be no toying -- but plenty of hammering.
Joshua was not happy with the stoppage.. He thought he was deprived of a clean knockout.

AJ didn't look good did he not terrible rather there was always a thought that he'd gas out and if takem had stayed with the body work who knows what would happen. As the question is about Fury on that display Fury would beat AJ of course AJ has the power to end any fight but would he land. As for Wilder well Washington was out boxing him and AJ would as well which means he would need to go for the KO or outlast AJ plus wilder is skinny compared with AJ I don't think he could takes his power but he doesn't have the boxing skills to outbox him either Maybe a gun fight with both getting hurt .

..you can't help feeling AJ is still waiting for his Ross Purrity..incidentally, I wonder how he fares fighting unter the jurisdiction of Nevada SAC..

I think now Joshua is fighting top level he needs to add a bit of craft to his game, to draw leads from opponents etc and counter etc. Smart guys can cover up and ride a lot of punches he’s throwing

I felt that a puncher like AJ didn't cut off the ring as effectively as he should have, he allowed a much smaller opponent to occasionally gain some success from working on the outside and I also feel that there were rounds where Joshua didn't use his jab, which may have been due to fatigue (resulting from a combination of the damaged nose and the excess weight he was carrying).
I watched quite a few post-fight YouTube videos where several fellow pros were pretty much pointing out the same flaws.
For sure, beating a decent heavyweight like Takam is easier said than done, so most fighters won't look good against him, but it's undeniable that Joshua looked very human last night.
I hope that AJ and his team address these flaws before his next outing in February 2018 (assuming Joshua's nose heals by then).
A prime version of Fury may have scored a comfortable decision victory over last night's iteration of Joshua, but we don't know if Tyson is capable of recapturing his form of old and AJ is gradually improving, which means that my opinion will inevitably change in twelve to eighteen months time.

Fury would out box Joshua from rnd1 to rnd12 it's as simple as that

I was watching the fight in between working & working, so I didn't see every detail, but there seemed to be a lack of jab from AJ. I thought with an opponent that's about 5 inches smaller, the jab would be pivotal to your dominance. Not that he didn't dominate, but I thought it was notable. If Takam had the technique and speed of a Frazier he'd have been dangerous.

AJ or Wilder would knock out Fury. Both the fatass version that currently walks the Earth, or the "Prime" version that won a staring contest with Wladimir.
Tyson Fury knows what a bum he is that's why he dove into a Smörgåsbord of Cocaine because he knows he would only be that lucky in a World Title fight once. Any other Heavyweight including Wlad in a rematch would actually throw punches at him.

And by the way before everybody gets all over my case for sh*tting on Tyson Fury yet again. I'd quit sh*tting on the guy if you guys would quit bringing this bum up. I never bring him up because I don't he's worth talking about. If you guys bring him up and tell me he's great or even good I feel the need to point out to you that he's sh*t.
Since apparently you Fury fans have eyes that tell you something other than facts.

Tyson Fury is a bum, he wouldn't have won the Heavyweight Title on any other night of his career. Wlad just stood there staring at him. It wasn't some amazing accomplishment. It was the worst Heavyweight Title fight of all time, and Tyson Fury is the worst Heavyweight Champion of all time. He didn't even have the balls to defend against the man he put on a "masterclass" against. What's that tell you? It tells you he knows he's the luckiest guy in the world, and would never have been able to beat Wlad a 2nd time.apollo creed wrote:AJ is somehow similar with Sergey Kovalev stylistically but slower. I tell it like it is. People don't like the truth sometimes. Especially when they commit themselves to a lie.ewenhay wrote:You're an embarrassment.gilgamesh wrote:

I would like to see where Wilder is against Stiverne before making a judgement on who would win. But i think as of right now, Wilder would have an edge due to his hand speed. He retains fast hands deep into fights and can counterpunch. When he knocked out Szpilka he thru the punch after reacting to an incoming hook and landed first.

I figure he'll knock Stiverne out relatively easy this time. All Stiverne has done since losing to Wilder by decision over 2 and a half years ago is get knocked and struggle to an unimpressive decision against Derric Rossy.marvelous marv wrote:I would like to see where Wilder is against Stiverne before making a judgement on who would win. He's surely gotten worse since their first fight. I would assume Wilder has gotten better. Wilder stops him inside 6 this time I figure.

I don't see how a prime Fury would beat Joshua. Prime Fury barely beat Klitschko who was not the best he could possibly be at the time for whatever reasons such as strategy and preparation. I thought Fury vs. Klitschko was a draw, but additional penalties for rabbit punches could have gave Klitschko the win. The ref only penalized Fury once. Fury would not have beaten Klitschko in the rematch which was postponed twice because of Fury. I agree that Fury vs. Joshua would make a lot of money, but Fury would have to be motivated and significantly better than he was against Klitschko which is an impossibility because he is older and the damage that has been done to his body due to drugs and alcohol. If Fury needs money, I think that is the only way he comes out of retirement.
