Isn't it Saturday night?
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sun. 26 Nov 2017
This bloke will come to win...you’d hope Kovalev is prepared..fully. Shebransky said something like all or nothing. He sounded convincing.

How do ppl think Kovalev looked at the weigh in? Shebransky is clearly the bigger man. I don’t put much stock into how a fighter looks physicallly....within reason... although Kovalevs recent struggles with stamina and rumours of an unhealthy life make me pay more attention to it. This fight is pretty much skill vs will but if you don’t have fitness....skill can only take you so far imo.
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
skill got kov a lot farther than will got shab.and barrera won like 2 rounds and was down vs ward and never close to winning the fight, but beat up shab, for a 'they fought ward and shab' reference. flooring and arguably beating an atg king ward like kov did first time is a big deal.
but if kovs mentally messed from ward or comesin cold you never know, shab is crude but hes got some power and comes out throwing. dont be shocked if kovs in some trouble.

Ok yea that’s an interesting outlook. For the record I did think Kovalev won against Ward 1. I was thinking more so sheb would have success late if he was able to somehow soak up the bombs in the first 4. I watched Kovalev training in YouTube, hitting mits, a body guard shield and bag he looked very sharp although the workout was cut and only showed short snippets with breaks I assume. It’s quite intriguing this fight. Normally I’d think Kovalev would punch holes in someone like him, maybe he will, but what if he survives the onslaught, guess we will see.

Interesting fight. Certainly not an easy option for Kovalev. We will soon find out how much he's learnt from the two awkwardly awkward Ward outings.
And what he's got left.

Kovalev clearly didn't have any issues making weight this time coming at 174. He doesn't look as a top level athlete muscle wise though, even less than usual.
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
I expect Krushedner to win but this is a dangerous fight. Sheb will try to catch him cold. He saw the second fight. I could see this being a more dangerous version of the Silahk fight.
I disagree that Sheb’s best chance is to survive the early onslaught. I don’t think that he stands a chance if he does not at least shake Krushedner in the first couple of rounds.
I would be relatively surprised if this fight goes deeper than 6.

Apparently Kovalev had a "near death experience" over the summer, veering his car off the road at over 100mph, which made him visit a monastery and "change his ways". Will his new habits do anything for his eroding stamina or is it all just another excuse?

Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
barrera down then valera down in 1st
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
barrera looks much bigger
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
barrera ahead but not a very convincing performance
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
I find it interesting even ironic that this card, this card involving Kovalevs return after losses to Ward has had point deductions for holding and for low blows post a complaint.

barrera is so so here. think he may stop valera but its been messy and hes looked vulnerable.
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
hbo crew is blowing barrera. i really dont find him impressive here. i thought hed beat bivol but less sure of that.
Re: Kovalev vs Shebransky Sat. 25 Nov 2017
Commentary= 'good (insert punch) Barrera' x1000, over and over
barrera has a full arsenal of punches though, thats stood out to me as his biggest strength
