Sam Peter Puts a Target on The Back of Tyson Fury

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

In former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s recent announcement of his return to the squared circle, he posted his “hit list” on social media calling out former WBC World Heavyweight Champion, Sam Peter.

Peter responded to the challenge saying "this is an easy decision for me to make. I would love to fight the man who calls himself The Gipsy King. I watched Fury’s fight against my former foe, Wladimir [Klitschko]. I congratulate him on his win, although to me, he looked more like a Dancing Queen.”

In Peter's first controversial meeting with Wladimir Klitschko in 2005, Peter knocked down the Ukrainian giant three times during their bout, but the judges robbed him of the decision.

The younger of the two Klitschko brothers then went on to one of the longest reigning defenses of the heavyweight title, with 18 consecutive title defenses over the span of almost 10 years, until Fury had the audacity to figure out a way to solve the Klitschko puzzle.

“I'm back in the gym and getting things going again,” said Peter. “If Fury is just fast talk, let it be known that I’m back and will take on anyone that is ready to go in 2018. Happy Holidays to all my fans until then!”

They would need to reinforce the ring to prevent it from collapsing under weight.

I found it strange too, he did floor him a few times.. But I like a bit of controversy.

I find it odd that Jameel McCline hit Peter in the chest and dropped him a few times  Who gets dropped from chest punches??? Sam peter is too old, sloppy, one dimensional and rusty to be anything more than a mouth runner for pay.

You also have to take into account that he's from a nation with a great deal of boxing wealth Nigeria where David Izon and Ike Ibeabuchi come from amongst others. I favour Sam for this one
I favor you for the nuthouse... Wladimir fought Peter 2 times and knocked him out extremely easily the 2nd time... In the 1st fight Wladimir was transitioning his style with Emmanuel Steward and still had some problems with his stance, jab, and footwork.. After he ironed those out the rematch with Peter was a joke.. But everybody who watched their 1st fight knew Waldimir was an easy winner anyway... When Peter was still in his prime a 37-year-old Vitali Klitschko, coming off a 4-year-layoff, battered him until he quit... He's got nothing and hopes Fury has nothing.

Judges did not rob him of anything. Peter had him down three times (two in a single round), giving him one 10:7 and one 10:8 round. This means he still needs three other rounds to get the decision... and whatever you do, you just can't find that many. All the judges found only one such a round, resulting in final 114:111 decision for Wlad.

Yeah, I didn't find that decision overly controversial. The fight that wlad may have been fortunate in was Williamson.

It's not exactly hard to miss Tyson Fury's back; he's currently the same size as a Brachiosaurus.

I think I had it even after 5. It's been a while. That was during Wlad's fragile getting back to his winning ways period.

In the first Sam Peter fight he won all the rounds he didn't get knocked down in so he deserved the decision. He even had Peter hurt real bad in the 12th. Ironically possibly more hurt than he had ever been during the 3 knockdowns as all of them seemed of a flash variety in Peter's favor, but Peter was legitimately buckled hard by Wlad's left hook in the 12th.
