Ryan Rhodes had just turned 20 when he won the British light-middleweight title back in the 1990s; I believe he is the youngest post-war British champion. Eric Boon won the British lightweight title at 18 back in 1938.

It must be 20. I remember Wally Swift bemoaning the fact that his 20-year-old fighter, Del Bryan, could not fight for the British title until he was 21, even though he had just beaten British light-welterweight king Lloyd Christie in a non-title encounter. Reg Gutteridge then put it in his column that Bryan could in fact fight for the British title at 20.
