Guessing under the WBO rules. 9 months for a defense, 12 months for a mandatory. Can be longer in the event of injuries, unification bouts....

But don’t quote me on it.
I think Billy will fight again in Apr/May time against a Top 15 opponent, then hope for a unification fight.

Clean up the division, eat a few burgers and get lucrative fights in the Super Middleweight division.

I wouldn’t automatically assume that Demetrius Andrade will be instated as Saunders’ mandatory challenger. For example:

• Hughie Fury leapfrogged David Haye to become the WBO’s mandatory challenger for Joseph Parker’s world title
• Canelo Alvarez leapfrogged Avtandil Khurtsidze to become the mandatory challenger to Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO world title
• Terence Crawford leapfrogged Manny Pacquiao to become the mandatory challenger to Jeff Horns’ WBO world title

Even if Demetrius is instated as the WBO’s mandatory title challenger, “Boo Boo” has previously declined fights and agreed to take step-aside money, which ultimately resulted in Andy Lee fighting Matt Korobov for their vacant world title.

We also know that allegedly was willing to pay one of the WBO’s previous mandatory challengers (Avtandil Khurtsidze) step-aside money to allow Billy Joe to face Gennady Golovkin.

So Saunders could pay Andrade step-aside money in order to face the winner of the Golovkin-Canelo rematch.

Even if “Boo Boo” is instated as the WBO’s mandatory challenger and he isn’t paid step-aside money, assuming that Saunders was willing to face the American, we know for certain that Demetrius Andrade is willing to go to extreme lengths, such as vacate his own WBO world title, because he wasn’t being paid enough to defend his belt against Jermell Charlo.

We’ve also seen situations whereby the WBO agreed to instate the winner of a bout competed between two fighters that weren’t even rated in their top-four in order to determine that governing body’s mandatory challenger (i.e. Paul Butler (rated 5th) vs. Jamie Conlan (rated 7th) for the mandatory challenger status for the WBO’s junior bantamweight title).

We have even witnessed situations whereby the WBO has sanctioned fights for their vacant world titles where one of the men weren’t even rated within their top-fifteen (i.e. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy was rated outside the top-15 when his fight against Sergey Kovalev was initially announced and Main Events subsequently lobbied their bout to be for the WBO’s vacant world title, which they subsequently agreed to do and also elevate the Ukraine’s rankings to ensure he was technically deemed as a qualified title challenger).

For the record, Demetrius Andrade isn’t currently the highest-ranked challenger for Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO world title. :TU:

I'd like to see it, but don't think Andrade is ranked in that ABC to get a shot. Jacobs would logically be next, and has said he would go to England to fight him. Make it happen.

As far as people thinking BJS would beat GGG, I think back when BJS told Eubank that GGG would beat them both in the same night.

I strongly doubt that Andrade will take on BJS.

Andrade? Why would he be a mandatory, he's not going up the WBO route. He's not even in the WBO rankings. Lemieux was #1 contender so BJS probably fulfilled his mandatory obligation for a while by fighting him.

I guess what I was looking at is not updated, although they say they update continuously.
