As we all know, Miguel Cotto called it 'home', having fought there 10 times in his career. He's now retired..
MSG isn't really used that often, Especially in recent years since the Barclays Center opened and now the Nassau Collisium has re-opened..
Many 'big' fights tend to take place in Vegas, California and New York..
Cotto fough at the Garden 5 times in June, a day before the annual Puerto Rico parade takes place, kinda like how Canelo fights in May and September..
Who (if anyone), will/should become the new face of MSG?...
Daniel Jacobs - From the area, recently fought at the Nassau. Can he become big enough to sell 10,000 never mind 20,000 at the Garden?
It doesn't have to be a home fighter..
Gennady Golovkin - Sold out MSG twice, has a big fan base in New York.. only thing is, he's the same age as Cotto..
Golovkin had a few fighters at the Theater before moving to the big arena. Many fighters have already sold out the Theater..
Terence Crawford, Sergey Kovalev a more recent one and we have Vasyl Lomachenko.. All could move to the bigger arena soon.
Rumours that the Garden officials want Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder.. It could become Joshua's foreign home.
Bit early yet, but Michael Conlan would be groomed to be the St. Patricks Day attraction.
Felix Verdejo could be the next attraction for the June Puerto Rico Parade, as we know Cotto took the date from Felix Trinidad, so it looks like a tradition..
Any other names that pop up?

I'd prefer if all the names listed were to make the West Coast their fight home so I don't have to travel so far to see them, bit selfish I know but it's cheaper for me than a trek across the country ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
