This article however says it was Paddy Gorman who was KOed in the 27th by Mitchell, supposodely there was some sort of mix up

It appears he had a fight with W. Slavin

Yeah Slavin quit after the 5th round, I think the fight was 8 jan 1888

Gorman gave up "2 stone" , it took place at Foley's Athletic Hall

November 25th 1897 he was knocked out in the 10th round by Goff in New York

Fought Mike Leary on Feb 16th at the Oakland Ring in Jersey City

Scheduled for 15, but only went 6 due to police intervention. The ref gave a draw.

Leary won the first three rounds, but Gorman had him battered and bloody, which lead to the stoppage, not happy with the decision
