rubber matches where the guy who lost fight 2 won fight 3 + a general issue
rubber matches where the guy who lost fight 2 won fight 3 + a general issue
i hear so much of 'so and so figured out so and so' any examples of two guys who fought at least 3 times, and guy who lost fight 2 win fight 3.
also so many other sports you can get stuff like one team winning the first two, but the other team wins the next two, etc and eventually wins the series
why in boxing so often do we act like one win = the winner is ckearly then the superior fighters

I dont think if he someone wins the first two fights , the third fight is classed as a rubber match.
A rubber match is one guy wins the first, the other guy wins the the second. The third fight is the rubber match

Ali and Frazier split the first two, Ali and Norton split the first two. Ali won the third. There are thousands of examples of that particular scenario.

Robbie Regan v Francis Ampofo.
Robbie beat Ampofo in his second fight out pointing him over 6 rounds. They met again around 18 months later and this time Ampofo stopped Regan in the 11th round in a British title fight. They then met a 3rd time 3 months later again for the British flyweight title where Regan out pointed Ampofo over 12 rounds.

Clinton Woods and Glen Johnson
