How Spence would deal with these fighters that fought Floyd at that particularly time ?

I don't see any truly special fighters there.

And while Spence can still improve, he's already a special talent.

Judah and Mosley were past their peaks. Baldomir had the fight of his life one night against Judah. Otherwise he's really just a fringe contender.

If you don't show Maidana movement, he could be a handful as Mayweather lethargically learned in their first fight.

Box smarter and don't be so stationery, and Maidana presents a lot fewer problems, as we saw in the rematch.

Spence would probably move a little more versus Maidana then simply standing and trading. He'd gradually wear the Argentine down with those sapping body shots.

Spence by late KO.

Broner had Maidana out of gas and rocky late after absorbing a pretty good beating. Spence would withstand whatever Maidana might dish out and return it in triplicate.

The Pacquiao who fought Mayweather was past his best and presumably damaged goods.

Experience wise, Pac would give Spence some schooling on the importance of tightening up your defense and not staying in the pocket for so long.

Pac still had hand speed to rival and bother Spence.

But Pacquiao was 36 and figures to be a little too worn for Spence, even without the shoulder problem.

I don't think Spence gets the KO over a wise veteran who could still fight at a pretty high level.

Spence probably takes control around the 7th round and simply outworks a tired Pac.

Spence by clear unanimous decision.

He beats all these pretenders. Some with few problems (Baldomir, an aging Mosley and Judah) some may extend him (Maidana) and some may even teach him a few new tricks before succumbing (Pacquiao).

But make no mistake. Spence beats them all.

He'd probably go 4-1, losing to Pacquiao.

Maidana would be an epic fight. I feel Spenxe would be forced to move more. But being the more versatile fighter, I see Spence pulling out the UD.

I have Manny beating him UD.

Has Spence Jr’s victories over opponents he was widely expected to win, with neither guy considered the top dog at 147lbs, earned Errol the right to be compared to prime versions of Hall-of-Famer’s like Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley? No! :stop:

He’s not worthy of such accolades just yet. He’s getting there and we should simply calm down and enjoy witnessing his climb to the top.

Well, The Mosley and Pacman that fought Mayweather, and the Floyd that fought Manny, weren't anywhere near prime versions. Also, some people did have Brook as #1 in the division, at least #2. At least most people did....

As to the topic, I think Spence stops Judah/Baldomir, they just aren't on his level. He beats Mosley, who was always durable, so he has a chance to survive. Mosley couldn't pull the trigger at that point. He beats Maidana via a decision or late stoppage. The Pacman fight to me is the only debatable one. I think Spence would be too big and strong for him, winning that one as well.

In terms of the betting odds for the Brook-Spence Jr. fight, 'NetBet' rated Errol as being 70.6% certain (5/12) to defeat Kell Brook, with the British underdog having an implied probability of just 38.5% (8/5) with the same betting website to emerge victorious.

These betting odds reflected the following expert predictions:

• Sugar Ray Leonard - Errol Spence Jr.
• Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Errol Spence Jr.
• Freddie Roach - Errol Spence Jr.
• Danny Garcia - Errol Spence Jr.
• Shawn Porter - Errol Spence Jr.
• Andre Berto - Errol Spence Jr.
• Shane Mosely - Errol Spence Jr.
• Terrence Crawford - Errol Spence Jr.
• Timothy Bradley - Errol Spence Jr.
• Teddy Atlas - Errol Spence Jr.
• Amir Khan - Errol Spence Jr.
• Virgil Hunter - Errol Spence Jr.
• John David Jackson - Errol Spence Jr.
• Mikey Garcia - Errol Spence Jr.
• Badou Jack - Errol Spence Jr.
• Robert Garcia - Errol Spence Jr.
• Chris Algieri - Errol Spence Jr.
• Lamont Peterson - Errol Spence Jr.

Therefore, it seemed that Kell Brook was considered a pretty huge underdog against Errol Spence Jr. (almost to the point their fight being considered a mismatch).

If I remember correctly, actual betting odds on most sites were pretty close, Spence was just under -200. If Spence fought Manny, Porter, or Garcia right now, he'd be a favorite. Of at least -200, IMO. Are all those guys garbage? Against Thurman, it's probably close to an even betting money fight, or a slight favorite either way. My point being, I think the actual odds represent Spence being that good than his opponents being average.

I created a thread about this topic shortly before the Brook-Spence Jr. bout and merely quoted the information I conveyed within it, with most forum members agreeing (at the time) with its content.

I believe only 15% of the 54 experts polled gave Kell Brook any chance of defeating Errol Spence Jr.

Yes, but I'm letting you know the actual odds for Spence vs Porter were actually close. Bookies were just giving away free money?!? I don't remember the PTBF game here, but I'd say Brook got about 35%-40% of the votes. The fight wasn't a mismatch on paper, is what I'm pointing out.

Spence is definately a talent but Brook is arguably the only top welterweight he's beat and he fucked his eye Peterson has barely fought at welterweight and Spence
Is a big strong welter too strong and good all round for anyone moving up from 140

Spence is the real deal. Him v Crawford when TC settles in at the weight is massive and hopefully it gets the build up and interest it'll deserve.

Hopefully the Thurman fight can be made as well. I can see that being a proper shoot out with Spence winning a good scrap.
