Is Mike Tyson showing signs of pugilistic dementia?

Post by Enlightened-One »

I've watched several recent videos of Mike Tyson being interviewed where his speech was slurring, possessing a 'blank' expression on his face and he also seemed slow articulating answers to the questions being posed.

It’s truly sad if he is, because the contrast between how he talks now in comparison to when he used to eloquently present the popular one-man “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” show five years ago is really staggering.

Thoughts?

He's always sounded that way. Listen to him on Hangover and even in his early days, quite slow. He didn't have much of an education so his mind takes a while before the words come out. He's educated himself well though and seems a much smarted/well-rounded person these days

studies show that even blows that dont cause concussion lead to long term brain problems. id bet many boxers have fried brains and will end up with serious problems down the line

I don't think you can say from one interview, especially one where he's taking to a guy with an accent in a pretty noisy place.

He could be on strong antidepressants or other things. He did another interview recently where he subtlety rolled a Aus feminist reporter. Thought he handled her passive aggression intelligently. He looks out of it here also but coherent

Mike definitely seems to be medicated in that interview.

Not enough evidence.
Could have had a drink or two.
There was a lot going on, different languages and noise.
Heck, if someone shoved a mic in my face on a night out EO would be winding up my estate before I made it home :OhYes:

I don’t know about the blank expression on Tyson’s face, but I imagine EO has one most times when he types up a post...
