Who's the better promoter (Hearn or Warren)
If you were a rising UK boxing prospect, which promoter would you sign with? Would you choose a different promoter? Please explain your decision.

Aren't there more subscribers with BT Sport than Sky Sports? I'm not sure, but I've read that they may have, but who knows.sporter2017 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018, 10:05 Hearn... Pure reason., exposure on Sky Sports & money would be miles above i imagine.
Haven’t we recently witnessed several Matchroom fighters cross the proverbial “street” to join Queensberry Promotions?
I’m not really sure who is “better”, but I do know that Fwánk Wárrén’s alliance with BT is very new and seems to growing in stature very quickly.
Queensberry/BT may not be the top dog of British boxing just yet, but who knows what'll happen in 18 months time given the current trajectories of both rivals.

Hearn fighters get paid after their fights, right?
In all seriousness though, there's not a massive difference in the quality of the cards. The big positive of signing with Hearn, is the chance of getting on an AJ undercard. What if AJ signs with someone else, after his contract runs out?
Bit of a toss up really.

the best is mick hennessy, sign with him and you could get to box in a school gym on youtube
Re: Who's the better promoter (Hearn or Warren)
I would do a 2 year stint with Queensbury starting out. They gave enough low level fights at their shows to get me a nice 8-0 record. Then after two years, go to Matchroom with a better bargaining point, sign for 3 years, enough to get me to 20-0 and a shot at a belt. Then reassess after that.
I would avoid Matchroom early on because sometimes Eddie throws guys in way above their level early on. A sink or swim type of fight. We've all seen it.

Warren overall, but Hearn is the better of the two right now
Re: Who's the better promoter (Hearn or Warren)
Eddie is a very good promoter but FW has been in the sport a long time and deserves respect for his staying power and battling his way through all the B.S the sport has to offer over the years.
Hearn is a dynamic person and knows how to get the fans excited and I'm a big supporter of his enthusiasm his drive and what looks to be his pure love of the sport.
Warren is a different character altogether, Frank get's pissed off easily but in defence of him for good reasons sometimes so I don't hold that against him.
Two very different individuals, yes I know they had a beef I saw the videos and depending on the circumstances I could side with either on separate issues.
Frank is from a different generation to Eddie and with that comes ups and downs on the personality and approach front, for fans like myself it's great I love all the boxing drama I'm a sucker for it.
Mind you if the relationship between the two starts to get in the way of things happening then someone has to say something, right now that doesn't look the case so I'm hoping both guys can sit down behind the scenes and have a chin wag and sort it.
I think from what I've seen I think Eddie needs to use his noddle and think of the big picture in terms of what is in front of boxing and what has previously happened, his understanding of FW and the way he operates maybe a lot clearer at that point.
When FW was coming up there was no ppv, social media and the rest of it so respect has to be paid to FW merely based off of that and his longevity,
There's so much to say about both of them it's an interesting topic, I hope they're smart savvy up and take advantage of each others position and work together and the whole beef thing is just a storm in a tea cup.
In closing they could use the beef for social media purposes and both win and I get my personal fix of boxing drama every week

Re: Who's the better promoter (Hearn or Warren)
Something tells me you're not being entirely serious jamamb. I have a sixth sense about these things.
I'd have said Hearn. Apart from his Sky and Joshua aces in his hand, i really like him. He exudes charm and enthusiasm and he is a master of communication. He has a way of coming across as very personable, charismatic and honest. Honest??? Yeah well he's a promoter of course and what he says is always going to have an element of spin, but he appears so affable and earnest I have to keep reminding myself that is the impression he works hard to create.
Fwank on the other hand comes across as yesterday's man and somewhat embittered ... allegedly.
