Conor Benn Inks Two Year Promotional Deal With Eddie Hearn
Conor Benn has signed a two-year promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing.
Benn has raced to 11-0 with 8 KOs in the pros since turning pro with Eddie Hearn in April 2016, with his last fight proving to be a small-hall classic as he recovered from hitting the deck twice in the opening round with two knockdowns of his own against Cedrick Peynaud at York Hall in December.

i mean hes got the name and is a pretty fun fighter with plenty of time. theres obviously value to having him. they have to keep matching him very carefully though. they stepped it up just a bit vs a 5-4 guy and he got put on his ass twice and had his eye nastily shut.

Yeh, no need to rush him. He could rack up 30 pro fights before he steps up properly.jamamb wrote: ↑05 Feb 2018, 14:50 i mean hes got the name and is a pretty fun fighter with plenty of time. theres obviously value to having him. they have to keep matching him very carefully though. they stepped it up just a bit vs a 5-4 guy and he got put on his ass twice and had his eye nastily shut.

Dont think Benn will reach 30 fights in total. Not out now until April, slowing it down a wee bit now. I think Benn will be steered to a British title in the next 4 or 5 fights. I dont think he will be a world ruler but lets see how he gets on this year.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Feb 2018, 15:39Yeh, no need to rush him. Harley on the other hand will be lucky to see a total of 6 fights the way hes going, not very active at the moment and with the name Benn at the end of his name im surprised they are not cashing in like his brother. Not sure if Harley as the 'eye of the tiger' to be honest, its either that or they cant find anyone low enough to fight.

When he steps up I’m lumping on the other guy

Which he wont do for a very long time .
Exposed a bit in his last one , but I suppose his dad had a few scrapes on the way up .

I understand that he didn’t have much of an amateur career but I can’t even see him winning a Lonsdale belt. I think he can be matched incredibly carefully (and Hearn is the man to do that) and he can be manoeuvred into a cash out fight in the future courtesy of his name...Mimmy wrote: ↑05 Feb 2018, 16:25Dont think Benn will reach 30 fights in total. I'm not sure how much he is earning per fight but im confident in thinking that it more than the average British up and comer. I tend to agree that his name will be making him some money but decent earnings has to come in the style of a title of some sort. I think if he can be guided to a British title he should make a few quid out of it.chinarich wrote: ↑05 Feb 2018, 21:40I understand that he didn’t have much of an amateur career but I can’t even see him winning a Lonsdale belt. If they avoid the British title route im guessing it will be IBO. I certainly agree with most that he needs to be guided very carefully but you cant feed him what you think is fodder for almost every fight until you think the time is right, one day one of those kids will stop him and the train ride will be over.
