Zelfa Barrett
Zelfa Barrett
What do u think of him- i think he needs to be tested a lot more- I don’t rate him due to the people he has faced- i would say it’s just Chris Cronwell and that’s pushing it for me

Re: Zelfa Barrett
For someone with 19 fights, he really hasn't stepped up much, but he's still young, they're developing at their own pace. His next opponent is Ronnie Clark so not too bad. Needs to step up to British by the end of the year I'd say.

Zelfa looks the bizzo defo, Clark is a tough nights work for everyone and as much as i'll be rooting for him I have a feeling Barrett is getting him at the right time

Re: Zelfa Barrett
Like what I've seen of him so far, does look to have something special.
Re: Zelfa Barrett
Difficult to say - the Clarke fight is decent.
Let’s be honest, he is 24 always been a full time boxer and never had a job.
He has had 19 fights boxing on his uncles shows (17 of the opponents had losing records - and they know what role they need to play).
Against hand picked opponents of course he has looked ok, sooner or later he needs to step up and fight live opponents.

Re: Zelfa Barrett
When it happens I think Lyon Woodstock will beat him.
Re: Zelfa Barrett
I think he has a lot of potential but he needs to step it up doesn't he
Re: Zelfa Barrett
Would like to see him in the title mix domestically after Clark. Clark should ask a few questions but I expect Barrett to come through and look good in doing so.

Re: Zelfa Barrett
Likewise. Both good prospects but Barrett looks to have better fundamentals that should see him past Woodstock.smiling assassin wrote: ↑10 Feb 2018, 08:03Would be a entertaining fight but one I would comfortably pick Barrett to come out on top of

Re: Zelfa Barrett
Clark is the perfect step-up opponent for him. I thought Clark gave Ward a really good fight late 2016.
If Zelfa passes this with flying colours he will be ready for British title.
Tough upbringing aswell. Also on a sidenote after his win at Manchester Arena I saw him take pictures and speak to kids for a good hour straight after his fight.
Seems a nice lad with a good head on his shoulders, feet firmly on the ground and the perfect mentor in Uncle Pat.

He does have to step up, but he's looked more than ok.bripez wrote: ↑10 Feb 2018, 05:15 Difficult to say - the Clarke fight is decent.

He's looked really good - IF he ticks the various boxes in the next few fights he'll be a beltholder minimum. Zelfa vs Clark will be a sort of Kell Brook vs Stuart Elwell in my opinion - tough as nails British challenger level wiped out by a guy who's going on World Title fights...
Re: Zelfa Barrett
We will find out in a few weeks. Ronnie is coming in the underdog but we are confident. We 're yet to see what happens when he gets hit, and we are gonna find out. We all know Barrett can punch but his 19 wins he has I know for a fact if Ronnie fought they 19 boys in a row he would be 19.0 also. As for Leon Woodstock he isn't anywhere near Barrett. I struggle with stuff like this cause I had carl greavss giving it the everyone is ducking Sam Bowen, by everyone they are saying the other prospects. Tried and tested fighters such as Clark, maxi Hughes and cacace ain't ducking anyone. Sfw is a really exciting one st the moment and if you add Tennyson v Martin j ward and jono Carroll stops chasing Geraghty and moaning and fights Clark etc it could turn out very decent .
