Do you think Crawford could win a title at JMW, or is WW his limit? Maybe he could win the WBO title off Sadam Ali, assuming he still has the title by then.

He should stay at WW.

He hasn't even fought at 147 yet. Considering how many names there are for him to fight at 147, and the fact that it's much more of a "glamour" division than 154 I really don't see any reason why he'd be going up to 154 anytime soon.

He may do it at some point just to say he did it, but for now all the money fights are at 147.

Let's let him get accustomed to 147. Then we can speculate beyond that

I guess if a lot of guys are hot for cruiserweights to jump up to heavyweights, it's not surprising that they're also fantasizing about super lightweights rapidly becoming junior middleweights.

In this case it doesn't even make sense. There's literally not one fight at 154 for Crawford that would be more interesting than at least 5 potential fights he could have as a Welterweight.

I'd rather see Crawford vs Spence, Crawford vs Thurman, Crawford vs Porter, Crawford vs Danny G...all of those are more interesting than anybody he could fight at 154 really.

Terence Crawford isn't big enough to compete at 154lbs.

Could win a vacant title or beat a soft champion like Liam Smith, but not best JMWs.

Maybe, and I only say maybe, he could beat Ali.

A definite edge for Crawford in talent, but Ali isn't a bum and with his size advantage he would probably give Crawford all he could handle. ..and more.

But as gilgamesh says, why would he bother chasing much bigger fighters who simply can't bring to the table the glamour and sky high purses that the more marketable welterweights can?

Could he? Yes. Pac won a belt there, even though everything about it was pathetic. Bud is better than probably 6 or 8 former 154 belt holders.

Apart from Charlo (and Lara who's time at the top is limited), I'm not that impressed with 154. At the moment, you've got Hurd as the 3rd best fighter in the division, but how good is he really? He's really just a weight bully, who walks opponents down, defends with his face, and goes for the kill after they get tired. His footwork is poor (chaser not a cutter), his hands aren't particularly quick, he's not that accurate, and his defence is nonexistent.

If Lara wants to (meaning if he throws more than 5 punches a round) he shuts Hurd out. If Crawford played smart, and didn't get dragged into a scrap, he'd school Hurd too, despite the size difference.

It shouldn't happen though. Crawford has at least 5 top level fights at 147, before he even thinks about 154.

I don't think Terrence Crawford has really been rocked in his entire career.
So now he moves up to Welterweight and if Horn can land solidly just one shot Terrence Crawford maybe in a world of pain.
By Christmas Terrence Crawford could win back his Light Welterweight title as he ditches any ideas of staying in Welterweight.

Crawford's achievement (undisputed LWW champion) is a great one, although every boxing fan knows that LWW was pretty weak weight division recently.
If he is able to become undisputed WW champion, I would consider him the best boxer since 2000. It would be a very difficult task, but it might be possible.
Frankly, I think Crawford would make a terrible mistake if he decide to move up at LMW. It is not his optimal division, evidently, Charlo and Hurd would hurt him, badly.

I expect Lara to win a UD over Hurd. I like Hurd though so I'll be rooting for the kid.
