I don't care about Linares or Garcia. I think Berchelt is one hell of a fight for Loma!

Good fight. I like the Linares and Garcia fights as well though. I'd be happy with any of them.

Loma has plenty of options. I wouldn't be upset with any of those 3 fights.
Re: I'd foocking love to see Loma vs El Alacran ! That's a 5 stars fight!
I think Berchelt is the second biggest threat. It'd be a good fight for sure. Berchelt is big, good power, strong, and he's awkward. He'd give Lomachenko a better fight than Linares.

Pretty sure Berchelt wouldn't quit like Walters and Rigo did but I still think Loma beats him handily

My view is that, stylewise, Garcia represents the sternest test for Lomachenko but it will only happen if Mikey comes back down to lightweight. I don't see Loma venturing beyond 135 anytime soon. Garcia challenging Lipinets for the IBF super-light following his victory over Broner suggests he is focussing on emulating Crawford by cleaning up at 140

Agree with all posts here
Berchelt is savage and can bring entertaining fight against Loma. But i think Berchelt management will go after Miguel Roman fight

i was gonna say ya berchelt wouldnt quit like the others, but then again im not so sure the others really had a track record for quitting either. rigo too has come back from several kds in the past to win. marriaga was in a war with valdez and never quit.
plus those quits vs loma werent of the type where the guy was in a gruelling fight and just couldnt take the punishment. they were of the getting clowned and way behind and cant do anything effective demoralizing type. berchelt hasnt faced that yet, hes been in with face first guys he could hit regulalry, and simply being able to land can be enough to make a guy feel likes hes in it even if hes losing. of course berchelt wasnt losing anyway.
but then again how many mexican quitters are there? not many. same with the japanese. they just seem to have something in there culture which makes them keep fighting.

Lomachenko and Belchert are the clear #1 and #2 at 130. They are ranked top 2 on Ring, TBRB, ESPN, and boxrec. Why wouldn't Top Rank aim for this fight considering that Lomachenko not only wins Belchert's title but also the Ring and lineal titles as well? Lomachenko is about to leave another weight class without being the lineal champion. He could of easily had accomplished that at 126 and could of accomplished it at 130 as well.

I totally agree with you.halfamill wrote: ↑13 Feb 2018, 00:55 Lomachenko and Belchert are the clear #1 and #2 at 130. They are ranked top 2 on Ring, TBRB, ESPN, and boxrec. I'd also like to see the fight but i'm not a huge fan of what Berchelt's done since winning the belt. There's NO WAY Berchelt would accept a fight against Loma. Since winning the belt, Berchelt has passed on more entertaining fan friendly fights for garbage like Miura and Awuku. HBO wouldn't even show the last one. The kids blowing it. He's soft.

I am still unclear as to why Cristian Mijares withdrew from the main event in Cancun on Saturday but I am fairly sure it wasn't Berchelt's fault. Awuku was only third choice after Carlo Magali also flaked outcaldo2025 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2018, 09:02 I'd also like to see the fight but i'm not a huge fan of what Berchelt's done since winning the belt. I guess my problem is more with the state of boxing and how nowadays when you win a title belt, boxers feel like they are now entitled to settle into the championship with a few token title defenses against middle of the road fighters before taking on the deserving contenders or other title holders.East End wrote: ↑13 Feb 2018, 09:27I am still unclear as to why Cristian Mijares withdrew from the main event in Cancun on Saturday but I am fairly sure it wasn't Berchelt's fault. Unfortunately I have serious doubt that Berchelt wants this fight, at least not for an objective paycheck that he would deserve at the moment.

Eh, lineal titles and the Ring are worth less than ABC titles and names. Barely anybody in the boxing community even really cares or can totally distinguish between title holders, especially when the lineage is so weak to begin with .halfamill wrote: ↑13 Feb 2018, 00:55 Lomachenko and Belchert are the clear #1 and #2 at 130.
