Who ranks higher than Roy Jones P4P?

Post by VG_Addict »

I hear people say a prime Roy Jones Jr. was the GOAT P4P. Who do you think ranks higher than him P4P?

Robinson, Duran, B. Leonard, SR Leonard, Pep, Ali, Greb, Moore, Napoles, Hagler, Armstrong, Chavez, Ketchel, Mayweather Jr., Saddler, Pacquiao.

I'm certain that there's at least a dozen more. But others can fill in the list.

RJJ was far from the GOAT. Damn good but he's probably not top 20.

A lot of people. And they didnt need steroids and extremely careful matchmaking to do it.

Many people were ahead of Jones in my view, because the main difference between our era and past eras is the tinker toy belts available. Literally anyone can claim to be a champion. For instance, his wba belt from Ruiz is meaningless in my eyes because even though Ruiz was a top five heavyweight, I can list over three dozen or more men who were even smaller than Roy who beat top heavyweights who were more dangerous than Ruiz. I don't know if I would even have him on my top 50 p4p list.

I got about 60 or 70 fighters that we're better than the great Roy Jones, Jr in all time the pound per pound list.

Why? In the midst of his absolute prime, he didn't fight a significant prime boxer after beating James Toney.
