John Mug...abi update - one last fight

Post by E »

I spoke to a Ugandan in the gym who is a good friend of John Mugabi's.

HE sad that Mugabi is going to have one lst fight for one of those inter-continental titles at light-heavyweight.

I think he said in November but can't remember....

I have to be honest though....I wouldn't like to see him fight again (and it's undoubtedly for peanuts.)

He just looked really middle age and overweight when I saw him in the gym....a lovely guy, but should be past fighting

My question is why? Any motivation for "one last fight". If he wins he won't retire, if he loses he will want "one last fight" to redeem himself.

If he does comeback it won't be for one last fight. Remember, Julio Ceasar Chavez said he was coming back for one last fight, that ended up being 4 (and maybe more).

He looks like he'll never see Light Heavy again though and I only hope he isn't allowed a licence.

He wont get a licence in the UK because of his eyes.
