Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
There is a great possibility for this fight, of course if Brook beats Rabchenko.
What do you expect ? Would you explain ?
I have voted for Charlo KO/TKO.

Why would Brook not fight Amir Khan? That's the fight to make for him.

I'd expect Brook to get broken down late on again. I'm not sure his heart is in it.

Charlo. 8th round TKO.
I don't get the point in getting WBC to sanction this for a title.. when Brook clearly said. A fight with Khan is worth more than a world title.

I suspect that Brook got ruined by GGG and Spence. Charlo by KO.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
That suspicion is exactly why his opponent should be Amir Khan who's been similarly dented.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
Brook vs Khan should be the only big fight aim for Brook this year.

So much so that their imminent opponents, Rabchenko and Lo Greco cannot be seen as the walkovers they might have been not so long ago.
I'm hoping that Brook and Khan can both get through and give us the biggest (non AJ) UK fight currently possible.
Sometimes you wait months for a fight that demands your attention - this Saturday I've got 3 with Brook, Kovalev and Wilder all in action!
Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
Brook should be taking easier fights until his eye socket bones heal better. Charlo is a killer and, write this in blood, he will break Brook's eye socket for the third time.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
Charlo by tko when he smashes Brooks nose.
Brook won't hit Charlo hard enough to phase him. Jermell says Spence hits harder than anyone he's ever been hit, and they spar often.
If Khan demands 147 for Brook, I hope Brook tells Khan to go fornicate himself.

I never thought as a fan that I would discourage competitive fights but Brook is too talented to keep diving into crazy challenges.
I would really like to see him have a chance to heal and regroup and get back into mix.
Charlo brothers are amazingly underrated imo

not very patriotic for a tea toddling Brit whatever TF that is, but I'd have to say Charlo late stoppage.

Love the "Too close to call" option in place of "Draw". Somebody was listening to my bleating

Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
Eddie Hearn stated his intention, as recently as two days ago, to allow Kell Brook to engage in a couple of confidence-building tune-up type bouts prior to “jumping in the deep end” towards the end of the year, against the likes of Amir Khan, Jermell Charlo, Sadam Ali or Manny Pacquiao.
I can’t envisage Kell Brook or Eddie Hearn being financially motivated to face an opponent like Jermell Charlo just yet, because he’s capable of earning far more money facing the likes of Pacquiao or Khan instead. I also think that Matchroom's affiliation with HBO in the US could be politically problematic, because Charlo is a Haymon/PBC fighter that has ties to Showtime.
Similarly, I suspect that Bob Arum would prefer Pacquiao to engage in an in-house bout, a “passing of the torch” type fight, against Terrence Crawford or Vasyl Lomachenko, which would be more lucrative and less risky in the long-term for Top Rank . Also, a similar ESPN vs. HBO TV network political issue would need to be overcome, similar to the Charlo situation.
As far as I’m aware, Sadam Ali is with Golden Boy, so a bout between the WBO champion and Kell Brook should be easy to make, since both Matchroom and GBP are affiliated to HBO. We’ve also seen Golden Boy fighters headline numerous Matchroom/Sky boxing main events (i.e. Jorge Linares facing the likes of Luke Campbell, Anthony Crolla (twice) and Kevin Mitchell).
So there’s a very good possibility that we’ll see Brook go in that direction, to acquire the 154lbs WBO title, immediately prior to orchestrating a mega-money Wembley Stadium-filling 2019 summer showdown between himself and Amir Khan.
A Khan-Brook super-fight would be far easier to sell and becomes far more relevant on the world scene if they’re fighting for a title and the most convenient route to take, in terms of having to overcome fewer sporting and political hurdles, is for Kell to challenge for Sadam Ali’s WBO championship towards the end of the year (after engaging in another tune-up bout in June/July).
Therefore, I doubt we’ll ever get to see a Brook-Charlo fight... and if we ever do, it’s unlikely to happen until the end of 2019 at the earliest.

Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
I was always suspect of how good Brook was but on his last two performances id say he's being underated. The GGG loss wasnt bad as he earned some respect and he was beaten by the size of GGG. The Spence fight was very very competetive until perhaps R7 when Brook faded. The question is whether he can get over the injuries and rediscover the drive to have another career run.
No chance he goes near Charlo. 3 easy tune up fights to build some momentum for a Khan fight which surely has to happen because they'd both make a packet although the losers career would likely be over.

Poor Brook. He complained because welters were ducking him, while he was fighting nobodies for mandatories.
Takes a big money fight vs GGG on short notice and all of a sudden he is this brave sob. Never mentioned being weight drained until Spence.
Now the pity starts. If doctors cleared him he is good to go. Titanium is stronger than bone. He'll make a few million and laugh all the way to the bank.

NO WAY he is fighting Charlo. Think Brook will be on witness protection for the next 2-3 fights with Khan being the end game money fight.

People are actually betting Rabchenko and knocking that line down. Humorous how people overreact when a guy loses to the best p4p fighters in the sport. Brook is still world class, just not p4p caliber.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
I reckon Charlo by KO but I don't see this fight happening.
Both Khan & Brook are looking at a mega fight (in the north of England) against each other.

Re: Kell Brook vs. Jermell Charlo (by the end of this year) ?
Please. The thing about Brook is that Golovkin destroyed him then he had to weight drain to 147 lbs. He killed his own career. Spence got the leftovers.
