Scott Harrison's chances to unify...

There are some huge fights out there for Scott who IMO would fight anyone given the choice.

Marquez bored the sh*t out of me last night showing what happens when you don't come forward against a natural counter puncher....you get no fight at all...!

I beleive Scott would give JM a hell of a fight and would take him to the wire. Barrera would be another mouthwatering match up. I feel Chi might be the harder of the opponents with his relentless workrate and strenth.

Pacman would also be interesting and I feel Scott would have a better chance against Manny because of his open style.

Here goes:

Harrison wins by SD over Marquez...

Chi wins by TKO round 11... :x
Harrison wins by UD over Barrera...

Harrison wins by TKO over Pacman...

A few optimistic predictions but I just feel Scott is capable of some upsets.

I agree with you that Scott Harrison would be willing to fight ANY Featherweight in the World.

But will/can these fights be made is another matter all together, just look at Hattons career.

I honestly believe Harrison can compete at the highest level. I would love to see him in with Chi.

Personally i'd say :

Chi TKO 7
Pacman TKO 10
Harrison UD Barrera
Harrison UD Marquez

really couldn't see Harrison beating Pacman or Chi, would be explosive fights though

The only one of those four that i'd expect Harrison to win would be the Barrera fight. Barrera is clearly not the same fighter he was three or four years ago, and i feel that Harrison would eventually get to him, and maybe beat him late on.

As for the others, yes Marquez was awful last night, but when it's needed he can raise his game. If he fights the way he did in the Pacquiao fight, discounting the first round, then he'll box rings round Scott.

Chi would make the best spectacle, comfortably i think. Neither would have to go looking for the other. Although that type of fight suits Harrison more than a boxing match, i believe that Chi is able to sustain a higher workrate throughout the fight, and may get the verdict on the cards.

Pacquiao would knock Harrison out. There's nothing clever about Scott, no head movement, little upper-body movement, and slow footwork, which i feel is a recipe for disaster against a puncher like Pac-man.

If the matches were made, and i'm not confident about that, then i think we'd see Harrison fall just short of the really top names, much the same as Clinton Woods. I don't think he'd win at that level, but i don't think he'd be embarrased either.

I really don't see Harrison beating marquez don't judge him on the basis of last night. I think Harrison would be perfect to pick off on the back foot possibly stopping him on cuts.

Pacquaio would be a absolute nightmare for Scott with his footspeed, handspeed and southpaw stance.

Harrison is a Sports Network fighter: a defining fight is always just around the corner.
Talk of him fighting Injin Chi is hilarious. Everyone knows the Scot can't fight if you back him up.

I am afraid, whilst I rate Scott Harrison very highly, I just can't see him beating any of the current champions. I think that 3 of them could still be discussed in terms of p4p status, Chi hasn't done enough to warrant the claim but I think stylewise is all wrong for Harrison.

Harrison is clearly world class and one of the best fighters to have come from these shores. However, in the two Mexican's and the Phillapino we are talking the potential from cross-generational greats. The are a different class to most of the fighters in any of the other weight devisions.

Both Marquez boys have a tendancy to coast when they are fighting low level fighters (or fighters who crap themselves like what happend last night). However, when they pick it up they are awesome (just remember what Jaun Manuel did to Medina). Harrison is too good for him to take lightly, and he wouldn't.

As tough as Scott is, I just see him taking too many shots from all 4 feathers for him to last the course. All four would stop him late IMO.
