The notes call it a fix, specifically saying it was arranged by Charlie Mitchell. Anyone know anything about this?

Reading the account it sounds like Hall busted him up fairly bad. I saw some accusations of fakery, but also a lot that Slavin might have been drunk or even drugged, which seems to fit better with the description. He also looked heavier than claimed, which would make me suspect drunk more.
If you were there to lie down I don't see why you would eat punches until your face swelled up.
