Boxing films

Post by adamwillan »

Really looking forward to seeing the new Paddy Constantine boxing film Journeyman that is being released at the weekend.

What are peoples views on Jawbone? Watched it this evening, and although I enjoyed it, im not sure I thought the main characters demeanour was believable, it felt a bit over acted.

What are your favourite fighting films over the last 10 years or so?

Yeah, although a lot of it is probably exaggerated, it's one of the more entertaining boxing films I've watched in recent years. Still yet to watch Bleed for This.

Will give bleed for this a go.

As well as the fighter, there was also Cinderella man, million dollar baby, and films loosly around boxing such as the hurricane, resurrecting the champ that are good

Bleed for this is really good. I like The Fighter alot. Thought Southpaw was a bit meh. I love the cheese of the Rocky Franchise and obviously great to see my beloved Goodison on the big screen in Creed!

The Hurricane is good for entertainment although I think it isnt great factually.

I really loved Cinderella Man. Boxing was great and back story is classic. Great acting, but could've gotten a better Baer.
