Pulev is a good boxer. Getting old, but can still win this..

I think Whyte is so over rated.
But those picking Pulev by knock out are crazy.
Pulev has no power for an elite heavyweight.
And Whyte has a decent chin.
Pulev can out box Whyte as long as Pulev has not slipped too much. He is getting older and could get old over night.
I predict Pulev clear unanimous decision

That's a bold list considering how inactive Pulev has been the last 2 years. I admire your confidence in an aging ring rusty guy who hasent had a meaningful fight in years.
(I still agree with you :D )

It really does depend on what Pulev has left. Whyte has improved but both don’t have top level power.

I think the Chisora fights are a pretty good yardstick.

Whyte's punching power is very, very decent. IMHO, Joshua, Wilder, Price, Ortiz and Haye are above him. He could be #6 - 10, with Povetkin, Parker, Breazeale and Martin (I am speaking only about punching power, of course).

Whyte decision for me.

Younger and fitter fighter who's carrying good form. Plus with the added punching power, it's not going to be an easy fight for Pulev.

Only way I can see Whyte winning is by KO. He gets jabbed to death if he doesn't KO Pulev.

Whytes power is OK but it’s nothing special. His best punch is his left hook but it’s a Hail Mary. The Browne KO was good but Lucas was a sitting duck, sorry, sack of sh1t.

He didn’t stop Chisora, Hellenius or Allen.

I honestly believe Whyte is the most over rated heavyweight at this time.
He is given way too much credit for landing a couple of shots on Joshua.
His life and death challenge with Chisora is proof of his limited ability

Whyte can knock Pulev out.

He just has to get around that annoying sub-klit jab

he suddenly added power from the helenius, allen, lewinson, and chisora fights? i think more likely he was facing a walking punching bag who took a shit load and still put his chin out

where would he suddenly get added power from, aside from peds lol

Nah, I don't think he can. He couldn't stop Chisora or Helenius. Absolutely no way he KO's a jab machine like Pulev.

Only way he can win the fight, though.

PEDs don't really improve your punching power. Unless they literally significantly increase your punching speed, overall body weight or both. Otherwise, it's mostly to do with punch technique

Assuming same punch technique, a 230 pound man with the same speed will punch with the same maximum power, regardless.

Pulev out boxes and out jabs every one in the heavyweight division. Including Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

I'm not sure how observant you are *I'm guessing not that much), but Whyte's shoulders were visibly bigger against Browne and he looked like he was carrying much more muscle bulk. Throw into account a massive improvement in punching technique, it is to no surprise he's punching harder.

Browne may well be a walking punch bag, but also has a proven chin. He's not one to crumble like he did against Whyte.

Also lets not assume for one moment that Whyte is just going to sit there on the end of a Pulev jab. 6 rounds of that and I expect him to up the tempo and get inside.

One thing I am surprised at is the insistent backing of an ageing inactive fighter, who wasn't really that great to begin with. Pulev in his prime is a different conversation. He is most certainly not in his prime.

Interesting you point that out. In the round by round thread, when Whyte came out, I posted that he looked HUGE. Didn't' think of PED's though. Not at the time.

its not a sharp technical shot at all, he basically just wings a left that connected. i dont think hitting the weights really does all that much for punching power anyway. hes a 30 old year with plenty more chisora, lewison, helenius, allen piwer showing then vs browne, and its not likd those fights were ages ago

and nice jibe you tit

and brownes chin aint really proven to be that great either, hed fought only 1 opponent before who was even remotely close to being a player at hw, and he was heavily dropped and badly hurt. chagaev never hurt any decent opponent that bad before.

omfg he proved his iron chin vs julius long or almost getting stoppedby old hepatatis chagaev! how observant of you :yay:
