I really hope it's just a rumour and nothing more!

Dan Rafael says that Munguia is the man if the commission rubber stamps the request.

Does Munguia have a world ranking? Certainly not at middleweight.

You know as well as I do that doesn't matter.
The moment he signs he'll be in the top 10

Most consider Munguia an unseasoned prospect. Not a contender, even at 154.

It's funny how those world rankings immediately materialize as soon as an unranked fighter signs for a title fight.

I don't mind so much except the fact that the alphabet soup folks think we are stupid...it is so frustrating.

Years ago I pretty much began ignoring the sanctioning bodies.

When they felt it was necessary to have a super champion, and a world champion and also a regular champion (not to mention interim champion) I figured I would just pay attention to the fighters and ignore any claims of someone being a world champion.

Should anyone really consider Pacquioa vs Matthysse a WBA world title fight? Is that a different WBA world then the one Thurman inhabits?

Hopefully an opponent will be selected by Cinco de Mayo.

Los Angeles Times boxing reporter Lance Pugmire is the source who says that Munguia will not be the opponent.

He's usually pretty reliable with information.

He added that Spike is again the frontrunner.

Maybe this Munguia business was just a ploy to bring O'Sullivan's asking price down.

Yeh he is usually reliable. BS have stated that Loeffler hasn't yet submitted any names, BUT IF Munguia's name is submitted, sources close to NSAC state it would be declined.. nothing is ever set in stone.. we get a bunch of rumours for ages and then a final announcement..

Hungry lion? LOL...more like a paper tiger or domesticated pussy cat.

Hopefully reports that NSAC rejected him are correct.
