Training
Re: Training
I had planned to leave it, as it wasn't really be used after a few of us tried it out in the earlier weeks of last season.
But if there's a demand for it, then obviously we could bring it back... But you'd have to talk to Mr Fist about it.

Re: Training
It wasn't being used openly perhaps. I used it privately though to get some of my biggest wins. That's why they call me THE BRAIN!
Just because you idiots can't outthink me is no reason to ruin a good thing.
Re: Training
I got some big wins for Steele with it. Though I know new members, and more fighters, it might just be too tedious for Fist to run, which I fully understand. I had mentioned it to a new manager in PM, so I wanted to see if we were still using it for this season.

Re: Training
I used it a bunch in the first half of the season, but I found Ketchel was performing better without it so I forgot about it.
I'd be interested in keeping it as an option though.

Re: Training
Focus Training is still an option this season.
for all the newcomers, the training categories are Power, Endurance, Defense, Hand Speed and Tactical Skill, but remember that there is also a chance that your fighter may neglect other parts of his/her training and it could affect them negatively but when it works out it can do wonders for their performance.
also keep in mind that if you have a boxer that already excels in something, for example Mike Tyson has a high Power rating to begin with so I'd probably stay away from focus training power, but say he was facing a defensive master like Ali I might want to train hand speed to give Mike an extra boost there in the hopes of catching him with a power shot.

Re: Training
I think for my first season, I'll keep it simple.
Re: Training
So...just to be clear. Can Cruiserweights fight Heavyweights?
Re: Training
Are such fights logged into the computer as pound for pound fights.....or HW vs CW fights with all it's pluses and minuses?
FYI for those who don't know......Valuev can defeat Duran in a computerized HW vs LW fight, but gets stretched quite quickly in computerized pound for pound matchup.
Now with CW's the downside is subtle.....but the degree of risk between these two methods should be on the table so we know just what sort of events we are talking about when the weight classes are mingled.

I agree with Buzz here. A rarity in the SimBoxBuzz wrote: ↑24 Apr 2018, 17:56 Are such fights logged into the computer as pound for pound fights.....or HW vs CW fights with all it's pluses and minuses?

Memo: Just because Gilgamesh agrees with our request for clarity, does not mean that this request is frivolous or without merit.

Everything The Brain says and does is right. It's you who is rarely correct I'm afraid, but like the proverbial broken clock even YOU Buzz can be right at least twice a day.

As far as I know, HW and CW ratings. I'm not 100% sure though.BoxBuzz wrote: ↑24 Apr 2018, 17:56 Are such fights logged into the computer as pound for pound fights.....or HW vs CW fights with all it's pluses and minuses?

Re: Training
On the training option... Can we match our fighters up to certain trainers, or how does this work?
Re: Training
I believe you can only select a particular category you might want to focus on. If you don't ask for anything, the fighter will just train well rounded. Trainers are randomly given per fight.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑30 Apr 2018, 02:39 On the training option... Can we match our fighters up to certain trainers, or how does this work?
