Nicola Adams MBE has signed with boxing manager Steve Goodwin to support her professional boxing career.
With over five years in the sport of boxing, Steve Goodwin has built a reputation as one of the premier boxing managers in the country. Steve will focus on Nicola’s boxing career and will continue to work alongside her manager, Ed Griffiths, at InterTalent Rights Group.
The flyweight made history in 2012 when she became the first female to ever win an Olympic boxing title. She further added to that historic feat by scooping another gold in the following Olympic Games in 2016, becoming the first British boxer to defend an Olympic title in 92 years, the last boxer to do so was Harry Mallin in 1924.
As a pro, the 35-year-old from Leeds is three fights unbeaten with two knockouts.
This year promises to be an extremely busy and exciting one for "The Lioness" with several fights on the cards and the potential for a first world title fight later in the year. Her 2018 campaign will kick off with a bout in her home town of Leeds at Elland Road alongside fellow Leeds-favourite Josh Warrington on May 19.
Nicola is looking forward to going from strength to strength with promoter allegedly and broadcast partners BT Sport and allegedly TV.

Frank needs to get her out more. Bit of additional appeal on the cards.

I'm not really in to women's boxing but you can't help but like Adams. Always smiling and you always seem to find her the same way. Happy and bubbly. Good personality.
I hadn't realised she was 35!! You could've told me she was 25 and I'd have believed it!

I’m not a huge fan of womens boxing.
But I saw Adams last year at the Manchester Arena. She took time speaking to a shedloads of kids. Photos autographs etc.
She talked to every single one with a huge smile on her face.
She will get more people involved with boxing especially girls.
There was a shedload of young people and girls/women at the AJ/Takam fight for Taylor aswell.
The market is there. Women’s boxing just needs strength in depth, but it’s healthier in the UK than anywhere else worldwide.
