Yeah I'd say that's a fair point although I'm not an avid follower of either.

I watched a bit of the Commonwealth Games.

One bout was the final - they looked as though they had some training and were looking to box, but looked very novice-y.

If I had just turned the tv over it would look like a couple of 14 year olds with half a dozen bouts between them - but one of them is now the Commonwealth Games Gold medallist !

I would say that any female with any natural sporting ability should look at boxing - because the talent pool is so small, within 12 months they could be on full funding competing in the Olympics!

Me either though I’m not against it.
I think Nicola Adams may have turned pro as she didn’t want to retire and a pro world title is easier to pick up than an Olympic Gold?
