Haye will punish Bellew !
Haye will punish Bellew !
My prediction : Haye will destroy Bellew, it will be ugly to watch.............
Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
no. haye is a small heavy, chose to not be
busy in his prime and is ageing now. these
factors make me think we've already seen
the best of him against chisora.

How is Haye gonna manage that when he's probably gonna have a broken toe?

Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
Not convinced Bellew wants this or cares. I remember him post fight saying it was all about his family and money etc (which I’m not against) That he achieved that security through the first fight. Now...well of course he will fight and protect himself but it’s a bonus cash deposit win lose or draw. Basically not convinced he’s been out there, fully focused, training non stop with Haye in mind. Could be wrong.
On the other hand Haye could have be as bad as he was the first fight which means he’s done. Either way I don’t care much for this fight.

Your first point sounds like Iron Mike's comments later in his career. So you think he ("Lookout" Bellow) is checking out, so to speak?lazboy wrote: ↑03 May 2018, 21:39 Not convinced Bellew wants this or cares. I think so...he has a comfy role with sky commentating, made a decent amount in the first...Not convinced he prepared so much for their first encounter also. Obviously he didn’t look in the best of shape which can be misleading...but he was gassing out after unloading on a wounded Haye in rd 6 and only really got a second win in the 11th to force the stoppage. He did throw a barrage of punches in those rounds but I feel if he was fitter he could have pushed things a bit more and sooner.oogiebe wrote: ↑03 May 2018, 21:54Your first point sounds like Iron Mike's comments later in his career. I could just be being overly critical. Of course I really don’t know him or his motivation so.....just speculation.

Ah yes...once a commentator, nary an athlete. I'll agree with you.

Providing the Gorilla tape that is currently holding Haye together doesn't unravel & providing one of his eye lashes doesn't fall out on the morning of or during the fight, he should beat Bellew.
Saying that, I get the impression he is near to being done & he knows it, so it wouldn't surprise me if he lost somehow.

Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
Apparently for their first bout, Haye-Bellew shared a total combined purse pot of £7m ($9.5m), with both men likely earning far more for their rematch.
And with both Wilder and AJ’s schedule already tied up for the immediate future, I suspect that it’s in the interest of Haye and Bellew to ensure their rematch ventures into the later rounds in order to justify a potentially lucrative third bout to decide the outcome of their trilogy.
I can’t help thinking that if David Haye is able to raise his game and turn back the clock this weekend; he won’t try to stop Bellew early, even if he’s capable of it, because it’s not in his best interest to do so.
I must admit though, the video of Haye’s most recent sparring footage (available on the Sky Sports website) is fairly impressive.
His footwork has improved, his head movement/reflexes is impressive and he was also using the jab effectively.
It looks like he’s going to box Bellew rather than attempt to overwhelm him by engaging in toe-to-toe trench warfare.

I agree. Unless Haye is hiding an injury again that will limit him, I think that Haye will punish Bellew for as long as it lasts.
In the first one, Haye was about to lay the lumber when Haye reinjured himself.

Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
This entire thread had more effort than it will take Haye to beat "Lookout" Bellow. imho.
Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
Are you going to tell him that?
Actually don't answer that, you probably would and to his face n' all
Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
Ok...that made me laugh!
Re: Haye will punish Bellew !
I think Bellew's pride and his animosity toward Haye will ensure he gives it all he can, but I don't much care much for this fight either, certainly not enough to pay for it. It seems to me this is a side-show and hopefully the winner doesn't go on to a bigger fight at heavyweight, especially if that winner turned out to be Bellew. I don't dislike the guy but I'm glad he's realistic enough to recognize that a Joshua fight would be ridiculous. I hope Eddie shares that sentiment - Joshua v Haye would be tough enough to swallow at this point.lazboy wrote: ↑03 May 2018, 21:39 Not convinced Bellew wants this or cares.
