Since the fights in Memphis how about live analysis from a studio set up like a 50's style cafe, complete with presenters in Elvis garb.

Shame it didn't reach the high standards of any of these predictions John Rawling and Richie Woodhall's argument over Amir Khan was pretty good though, i thought Woodhall was going to lean over and lay a right on his jaw I quite like Rawling, he speaks a lot of sense.

I like Rawling, he's a proper journalist, and not afraid to speak his mind. He seemed clearly overaweed by Larry Holmes however, and perhaps told Larry what the thought he wanted to hear. To be honest, i would probably have been bricking my panties if it was me.

Yes, I like Rawling aswell sometimes he is too opinionated for Radio (I didn't order Hamed vs Calvo, but I thought there was only a couple of rounds in it thanks to him).

However, I (along with most) prefer him to Neilly and I would love him to be used more often. I think he could be an excellent main presenter as a boxing journalist he would pose the right questions to the panel and I think he would be a little more comfortable than Bunce.

I would stick with Rawling, with Bunce, Woodhall and McKenzie as analysist. Maybe give that Ronald MacIntosh a go at the commentating alongside Colin Jones.

If MacIntosh isn't successful then the BBC Wales team of Oliver Hines and Colin Jones would work a treat.

Rawling is one of the best sports journalists in Britain. He really knows his boxing and his athletics, as well as having a decent knowledge of a variety of other sports too.

His writing is incisive as well as entertaining. I think he's great on radio too.

Rawling seems quite a mild-mannered and humble guy, who prefers not to be on Camera, I could be wrong though, he might want to be the next robbie williams for all I know. It does strike me that being on camera calls for totally different disciplines to being a journo, you don't have time to mull things over and postulate, it's quick soundbites which is a different game altogether. I think Rawling is an excellent addition to the setup though.

He emailed me once actually to compliment me on the story I did on the Ottke v Reid debacle, I was quite flattered.
