Canelo vs GGG rematch is in trouble

If Golovkin fights BJS, Derevo or Charlo instead, I will only be happy. Golovkin already clearly defeated juiced Canelo and has nothing to prove in the rematch.

Just posturing.
DLH is right. Golovkin can't make close to the money anywhere else.
Why fight Derevo for no more than $3 million and maybe lose, when you can fight Canelo for $25 million plus and maybe lose?
Unless Team Golovkin is mathematically challenged, they'll sign on the dotted line within the next few weeks.

It may be challenging for you but not everything is always about money. Clenbnelo screwed Golovkin twice: prevented him from becoming a unified champion last summer and wasted his time on Cinco de Mayo. Golovkin may have had it.SenorPipino wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 22:00 Just posturing.

i just read LOL-effler saying the other day that things were going well. i think it happens. usually for big fights we here stuff like this before they get signed. im pretty sure the first time there was all sorts of talk of looking into other opponents too.

I would have no problem with GGG fighting BJS for all the titles. What he earns or doesn't earn from it doesn't impact my bank balance.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 21:33 https://www.ringtv.com/536453-canelo-go ... r-alvarez/

People tell me that all the time. "It's not always about the money."
I never believe that. Boxing's a business. It's always about the money.
Golovkin's a professional. He doesn't risk his life for a donut and a few shiny belts.
He wants as much money as possible. Just like the next guy.
Golovkin "will have had it" once he collects his $20-$30 million purse.
Don't be suckered by noble remarks.
Again, it's ALWAYS about the money.

I have no problem with this, if Canelo will fight Jackobs, Charlo or Saunders. Unfortunately, that B!TCH De la Hoya will bring O sullivan fight. Hes a cancer

After all the crap (psychological warfare if you prefer) GGG had to put up with from the Canelo / Goldenboy camp it makes sense to call their bluff and play hardball.
Call their bluff and start legal proceedings for loss of earnings.
By now everyone in the boxing world can see them for what they are.
Loeffler must put in place alternative arrangements for Sep 15.

Right. Not having a backup for the May fight was a major screwup by Loeffler. Hope he learned his lesson.Thomastearns wrote: ↑25 May 2018, 05:20 Loeffler must put in place alternative arrangements for Sep 15.

Re: Canelo vs GGG rematch is in trouble
According to Steve Kim, DLH called him and a few other members of boxing media and said that they are tired of waiting for Golovkin to sign and are pulling out.
Re: Canelo vs GGG rematch is in trouble
Ouch, GGG should take the easier fight in Canelo. He's in deep water against a monster contender like Derevyanchenko. No one would blame him anyways if he drops the IBF to fight Canelo for bigger money.
Plus, the IBF have some incredible rankings:
1 Sergiy Derevyanchenko Ukraine
2 NOT RATED
3 Daniel Jacobs United States
4 Jermall Charlo United States
5 Demetrius Andrade United States
Derevyanchenko versus any of these fights would be amazing!
