It's looking likely that Hughie will be facing Pulev in an eliminator for the IBF title after Jarrell Miller couldn't agree terms. How does everyone see this going? Will Hughie be ok travelling to Sofia for the fight or will it go to purse bids again? I think big Mick must've blew his wad on the Parker fight so it'll more than likely be in Bulgaria if it's a goer.

Wouldn't be surprised if you're right mate! Pulev seems to have a bit of money behind him so can't see the fight being anywhere else other than Bulgaria so that might throw a spanner in the works. Interesting fight though so fingers crossed.

Yeah, kind of funny at the same time time that the IBF can't find anyone willing to go to Bulgaria. From the rankings, I could only see Teper or Dinu taking the fight.

Hughie would be mad to not take this fight IMO.
Dont think a loss to Pulev in Bulgaria will damage his non existent 'stock' - especially if the fight is competitive.
And a win guarantees an IBF title shot?? Its a no brainer for me.

I’d like to see this. If it went to bids you’d assume they would bid an amount that would pay U-E a lot more than what he’d be earning for defending his British. Plus when Pulev wins it would put to bed these plonkers who think U-E would box Joshua’s head off.

see the purse bids for pulev they not kinda fake in the sense that the opponent only gets a couple of hundred thousand so in theory that is all the backers need.

And he's a good option for Hughie, cause Hughie has already blown his title opportunity. But he's young and needs good fights, which will help him to grow. Pulev can provide such a challenge. If Fury wins, that will be a very good scalp.

Think Hughie is talented and fresh enough to win clearly even away from home. Pulev is good at what he does, this has 12 rounds written all over it but Pulev is now 37. Obviously Hughie has to put a bit more spite in his work or else he's gonna get outpointed. I think this is a really good opportunity for Hughie, given the lack of backing/money behind him, and coming off what happened with Parker last year. If he beats Pulev what sort of mandatory position does he earn - is he definitely in line for a world title shot or is this just one of those eliminators that don't actually guarantee you a title shot ?
