Jersey Joe Walcott vs. Gus Lesnesvich
Jersey Joe Walcott vs. Gus Lesnesvich
What I read from the Ezzard Charles' biography that Jersey Joe Walcott and Gus Lesnesvich nearly had a match on the same card when Marcel Cerdan won the World Middleweight Title from Tony Zale, but Lesnesvich pulled out on the last few days before they fought by "injuries" or out of fear. If Walcott and Lesnesvich manage to fight, would Walcott beat Lesnesvich? In my opinion, yes Walcott would beat Lesnesvich by stoppage in the fourth round. What is your opinion?

Walcott was a very smart boxer.
He would totally outclass Lesnevich.

Re: Jersey Joe Walcott vs. Gus Lesnesvich
I read from the Ezzard Charles biography that Gus Lesnevich avoided Charles when Lesnevich was a reigning light heavyweight champion. When Ezzard Charles won the vacant World Heavyweight title against Jersey Joe Walcott, he made successful made his first defense of his title by pounding Lesnevich in a seventh round stoppage as Charles gained revenge on Lesnevich for avoiding him after a few years when Charles was a rated light heavyweight contender.
If Charles pound Lesnevich easily, then Jersey Joe Walcott would do the same on Lesnevich at heavyweight.
