Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
Does Martin have a chance of winning this? After getting ironed out by Joshua, he has been largely off the rails, fairly inactive, and definitely hasn't tested himself since that fight, having easy wins against the likes of Byron Polley and Michael Marrone. Which won't have prepared him for the test of battling Kownacki. Is there anyone who sees Martin getting a result from this fight?

Re: Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
Martin may come forward a bit in the first few rounds but Kownacki should get to him inside 5
he takes damage to the face.... that's how he fights. it dsnt make the Kiladze fight any kind of worthwhile measuring tool. most of his fights will be like that

Re: Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
I think it's a reasonable matchup.
It will prove who belongs on the upward path in the division, and who doesn't.
Kownacki has delt with a bunch of mediocre opponents in decent fashion.
Martin has fought a few terrible ones since his loss to Joshua. But that does encompass his injury recovery as well. I think he deserves a break because of that, as a lot of people would not have been able to rehabilitate back into the ring in the same situation.
As for this fight, I can see it going two ways; Adam outworks Charles and scores a late TKO, or Charles KO's Adam midway. Both guys are pretty easy to hit, and it will probably be a fan friendly watch.

Fair fight. Two diddies
Re: Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
Martin is absolutely awful. Kownacki steamrolls him.
Re: Adam Kownacki vs Charles Martin
I expect Kownacki to win but Martin could be in with a good chance. It depends how much work he's been putting in whether he acquits himself well or not
It's going to be safe to assume though that Kownacki is going to have better energy, workrate, and will stay the course better.

I believe, Martin isn't that bad, like he is often considered to be. The worst HW champion ever? Yes. But still a decent competitor of the current scene. I pick Kownacki though. Probably it can turn out to be quite troublesome fight for Adam early, but he will maul Martin down eventually, I suppose.

Yeah I was pretty sure it was Scottish.
Your "pish" explanation reminded me of an old episode of 'Minder' where Arthur Daley is on the jury trying to get the very shady looking defendent found innocent. Someone said some thing like "You've only got to look at his face to know he's guilty to which Daley replies "You can't bang someone up just because you don't like the look of his boat".
A fellow juror - Indian lady, says "Excuse me. Vhat is being 'boat' ?"
Daily: "Oh terribly sorry - boat-race, madam" as if that suddenly made it crystal clear.![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
