In my other favourite sport, motorcycling, we had a great result this weekend.

James Toseland, 23, won the World Superbike Championship. James is originally from Doncaster but now lives in Sheffield. We Brits, for whatever reason, are fecking brilliant on SBK's. Foggy - Hodgson - Toseland.

The last round was at Magny Cours, France. James went into the weekend 4 points down on leader Regis Laconi, but two fantastic, brave rides by the Yorkie took the title away from the Frenchman. JT came first in Race 1 and 2nd in Race 2.

I just hope that one day soon we can get a Brit winning the MotoGP class.

Yes, nice one to Toseland.

British MotoGP champ? Not while Rossi, Gibernau, Biaggi, Edwards etc are still racing, they're a step above our boys at the moment. Toseland is only a young'un though, and Hodgey isn't exactly ancient. Maybe in 3 or 4 years time.
