Chris Jenkins vs Darragh Foley

Post by handsofstone »

This Friday on allegedly, MTKs first show on the channel since signing the deal, pretty gutted the Clark/Joyce fight fell through but hey ho

Jenkins has a draw and a loss in British title fights against Nurse and also won Prizefighter a few years ago, he always gives good value and is an all action fighter, I thought the losses to Nurse and Sutcliffe Jr were razor tight, ive never seen Foley, he's an Irishman born in Kent but lives and fights out of Australia

David Oliver Joyce is still on the bill as is Ormond, Philbin and Stephen Tiffney who I really rate highly

Keiran Smith on the bill as well. Good few names on the card still without opponents by the looks of it. Pretty poor.

Chris Jenkins was one of those I expected huge things from.

Something about Welsh fighters of this weight not quite fullfilling their potential. Tony Doherty from a few years back I was convinced was going to go all the way.

I think Jenkins fell between two stools, like many good fighters, far too good to be an opponent and not good enough to really invest in. The only way to survive at domestic level, the same goes for Nurse is to sell tickets.
