Jessie Vargas vs Thomas Dulorme

Post by diddy »

Curious as to why this line is falling. Vargas opened -350 which seemed short to me but is now down to -260. People are betting Dulorme? Dulorme just isnt that good IMO. I dont even think he beat Lundy. Is he better than Broner who likely lost to Vargas? Vargas just seems steadier to me and will take this fight by decision.

Dulorme is chinny. But problem is Jessie Vargas doesn't have much power. Pretty even fight if you ask me.

Vargas strikes me as the type of good fighter that only loses to very good fighters. Dulorme isn’t that.

i actually didnt have dulorme beating lundy either, i though lundy edged that by winning like every round in the second half, and that wasnt because he was constantly hurting dulorme. dulormes decent but simply not all that great, its not just the chin either

id think vargas should defo be a favorite

btw, not sure i agree about vargas not having much power. id say hes got okay pop but just not much of a finisher.

its true his ko rate is low, but hes hurt lots of guys, trashed ali, had timmy reeling around the ring, had omotso all over the place, wobbelled novikov, had herrera down in his last win. dropped ray narh and vito gasparyan in decision wins.

so even when we look at a lot of these fights where he goes the distance (all these did except ali), hes still hurt guys. i think that right hand of his can defo hurt dulorme.

I was just reminded that when Dulorme fought Crawford, he was ahead before he got stopped. More recently, Dulorme-Ugas was razor close. You can say styles make fights or whatever but I rate Ugas higher than Vargas.

Didn't watch but saw that it ended in a draw. To the viewers, do you agree?

ya if anything i thought dulorme did a bit more, though vargas did buzz him a bit and drop him, so the shakyness still showed here

I just watched this. Had it saved to view over Christmas.
Thought Dulorme won it by 2 points. Had it even going into the 12th.
Dulorme schooled Vargas for the first 3, great defence making Vargas miss whole combinations.
With a higher work rate I thought Vargas could have stopped Dulorme at any stage after R7 when Durlome lost his crispness, but he didnt, and he lost
