Besides, Canelo could be on the wrong end of a decision in England (legitimately or otherwise). That just won't happen in Las Vegas. Yes, but it doesn't matter what we may think - a third GGG v Canelo fight is almost inevitable. Apart from Joshua v Wilder it's still easily the biggest money making fight in the sport.

The first Canelo-GGG bout achieved 1.3m PPV buys (despite a portion of the potential sales being cannibalised by the MayMac circus event), the rematch only did 1.1m (even though it was the biggest event of the year, without facing any competition) and so I’d expect the demand to see the third fight dip significantly, whilst still being a commercially viable event to stage.

Of course, the platform and the price point of the PPV will significantly impact the sales units, I do expect less revenue to be generated for a potential third bout.

The problem is… there’s no guarantee we’ll ever get to see a third bout, especially if Canelo and GGG sign-up with rival networks.
