How would 5′ 8″ / 173cm Canelo would deal with 6′ 3″ / 191cm Callum Smith ? I think there is not a coincidence that Canelo chose to fight Rocky Fielding (wba smw regular champ). Also Canelo fought Callum's brother- Liam Smith.

This won't be popular but if this fight is at 168 then Smith is too big. Alvarez's punches will just bounce off him. Reach advantage is massive too.

Smith isn't great and can be outboxed but not by Alvarez.

Alvarez would probably still get the decision mind you.

Yeah it's a big gap in size advantage but gingerboy is very skilled and powerful. His chin is strong too. He'd get lots of credit if he faces Callum.

Canelo is significantly smaller, but still he's too much for Smith skill-wise. I guess, the first few rounds can appear to be even, but Canelo will gradually break Smith down to score the decision win.

I read all opinions and accept everyone has an opinion, I mean I don't care more in the sense that whatever people say about what smith can and can't do I still see canelo beating him , not that my opinion is the only one that matters just that other opinions won't change my opinion

The size will not matter. If Canelo is there at the final bell he will win a decision.

i think smith moves well for big man, and i think he has got fast hands and powerful, he dont throw ones, he throws combos . be surprised saul hears the bell. and iam huge saul fan

no doubt best about ,i thinking body as canelo will have to chase smith ,and use a lot of energy to get up close in range . smith has a good jab

im not really sure that canelo would have to chase smith, id think theres a good chance canelo would get moving and make smith come forward. smith has a lot of strengths but foot speed isnt one of them btw, hes much sharper and faster with his hands then feet

would be real interesting, canelos p4p better i think but hed be giving up a lot of size and smith is a handy fighter himself

I guess, if Smith will impose too much threat during the fight, Canelo will switch to GGG bout #1 mode, he will make Smith miss a lot and eventually outbox him.

I tend to agree with that. Canelo will jump on his bike and will get a decision.

These guys aren't going to fight each other anytime soon. It’s not going to happen before the start of 2020 at the very earliest.

Canelo is simply testing the waters at 168lbs, whilst taking the “easy” route to becoming a three-weight world champion (of sorts).

In that scenario, I’d favour Canelo to score a late stoppage victory or win a very wide decision.
