Dillian Whyte v Tyson fury?

Post by Connor19996 »

Who you got on this fight?

Would be good to watch but still think Whyte would be the underdog.

Love reading all your opinions.

Hard to predict because no one knows how much of former Fury remains. I think that he will never be more than a shade of his former self.

In my opinion, the main question is - can Whyte get to Fury's chin or will Fury stay out of range all the time? Whyte will try to get close without respect because Fury for a guy of his size is really a pillow puncher and Whyte is tough.

To keep someoe out of range it is important to have decent and smart footwork which Fury posseses but strong jab that carry enough power and makes impact on the opponent is crucial too.

Whyte is technically raw but i have to admit that he made some improvement in this aspect and he showed it vs Parker.

Stamina would play important role in this potential match-up - hard to tell much about current Fury's stamina, but i predict that he has some advantage in this aspect as Whyte seem a little bit gassed out late.

I'd favour Fury not because i believe that he is as good as some think he is, but i just think that Whyte is overrated too. The punch he landed on still green AJ means nothing, knocking out old Browne (that is/was very overrated himself) doesn't impress me either.

Of course Parker is a good scalp (and knocking him down is impressive too) but this fight was closer than it seems because:
-Parker shouldn't be counted in round 2
-Whyte should be deducted 1 point
Considering those facts, i personally scored this fight 113-112 Whyte (in rounds 7-5 Whyte).

The main things are on the Fury's side. He has size and ability to use it, he is much smarter and better technically, than Whyte.
