crolla vs loma

Post by jamamb »

crolla is lomas mandatory and loma is highly unlikely to fight garcia next in a 4 belt undisputed battle. personally, with garia and top rank (loma promoter) history, i have doubts it would ever happen

anyway it seems this has a seriously good chance to happen next year. crolla has the mandate and there is really no other big fight for loma at 135 aside from garcia that would bump this id think. with lomas shoulder surgery i could see them wanting a presumably 'soft' opponent too. crollas a solid fighter but imo hie is just too basic for him to do much against loma

i want loma back at 130 with berchelt, tank, and machado

The vacant IBF title fight (Commey v Some Russian guy) is on ESPN early next year. Arum said they intend to fight the winner next.

Doesn’t strike me as a very even match up🤔

I'd rather see Loma vs Berchelt or Davis. Crolla matchup obviously looks not so competetive.

I have no interest in this fight. I like Crolla, he's a nice guy but he's no business being in the same ring as Loma. I'm sure Matchroom have the money to entice Loma over here but I'd rather see them invest that money in something more worthwhile than a pipe dream and PR stunt!

Would much rather he fought Campbell. Would much rather Crolla fought Campbell too.

Crolla should be all over a retirement bout that he can actually win and get paid decent, over getting pounded into retirement.

Commey has a better chance than most of beating Loma. Size, strength, heart can be useful.

Crolla vs loma would fill about 10% of old trafford. No non-boxing accict knows who either of them are

loma turned pro late and realistically is probably just past his physical prime already, fighting 2 times a year, mabey 3 max you cant be wasting fights on crolla (i know he is mandatory but surly he knows he will lose and can be paid some sit aside money). every fight from here on in should either win him a new belt or be a huge name.

It makes sense for Loma because he’s waiting for Commey/Chaniev, and Crolla is mandatory. Hopefully they can pencil that fight in quickly as possible, get it over with and move on to a possible Commey unification fight by the summer.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee has scheduled a new date for the purse bid for the mandatory title clash between WBA lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko and challenger Anthony Crolla.

The representatives of both parties were notified of the bid, which was originally scheduled for February 4, will now take place on February 13 at the offices of the WBA in Panama City.

Two other purse bids will take place on the same day, for Daniel Roman's super bantamweight defense against Murdjon Akmadiev, and Beibut Shumenov's WBA "regular" cruiserweight title defense against Arsen Goulamiriam.

Loma vs Davis is the fight I'd like to see.

Crolla will just get beaten up - easily.

Davis doesn't want the fight. He's flat out admitted he's ducking Loma
