Great Boxing Book

Post by Tony1244 »

I'm reading "Heavyweight Boxing in the 1970s." The Great Fighters and Rivalries by Joe Ryan.

This is a Great read for anyone who was riveted by 1970s Heavyweight Boxing.

It goes year by year in great detail.

Thanks for the heads up, Tony. I'm going to have to get my hands on that one soon.
I checked with my local library system to see if they had a copy to borrow but no such luck. However, while doing so I noticed that they do have a copy of HARD LUCK: THE TRIUMPH & TRAGEDY OF "IRISH" JERRY QUARRY a book that I've wanted to read for quite some time but had forgotten about. Now I have it on hold for me. Something that wouldn't have happened without this thread setting things in motion. So, thanks again, Tony.

It's not cheap. Lowest I've seen it listed is about 30 odd pounds
