Hughie Fury slurring his words?

Just saw his recent interview and this is coming from someone who supports him, felt like he slightly slurring his words?

What do you guys think?

at first i thought it was just normal Hughie, but slight slurring starts about 2.30 in. it may be his northern drole to be honest.

I dunno, he has always talked a bit like that, tbh it's the first time I've heard him talking at length, he is normally an introverted fella

my parents are from salford/eccles so im used to it. all family have the accent, but not me. so yes...its northern drole

I think he was just relaxing a bit. Some credit has to go to the intervier, I've never heard that much out of huggy- ever.
I am aware of the same thing, when your talking to someone unfamiliar with your (strong) regional accent, you annunciate more clearly to begin with, then as you relax, you notice the glazed eyes of the person your talking to
Americans don't have much luck comprehending strong Australian and Kiwi accents because they have little exposure to them. And if you are from the UK and don't talk posh, they probably won't understand you either. Of course, no one understands the Scots

Americans cannot understand a word I say. I was thinking about a time some American backpacker was trying to talk to me in India and him frowning and nodding but clearly not understanding. You could see the cogs turning in his head. I'd been lying in a hammock reading a book and was thinking "listen mate, you initiated this conversation..." I did my best to enunciate for the pudendum and he's there squinting at me like he's trying to work out some kind of weird puzzle.

I get the odd tourist stopping in at the farm, they have to be lost, no idiot would be this far off the beaten track intentionally. Now I just write down how to get back to civilisation on a bit of paper. Saves my temper flaring up because last time I checked. I speak flippin' English!

Kiwi is a form of English, I'll give you that

Great memories from my trip to New Zealand many years ago. I have travelled all over the world but I can't recall any place where the people were as genuinely hospitable as the Kiwis. Fantatsic people in my book. Beautiful country as well.
