Roach: I'm Sure Mayweather Will Fight Pacquiao-Broner Winner

Post by oogiebe »

From BS.com:

The most important thing Freddie Roach took away from Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s two-minute demolition of a small kickboxer is that Mayweather will participate in an official fight this year.

Now that the undefeated five-division champion has torn through Tenshin Nasukawa, Roach is convinced Mayweather will face the winner of the upcoming Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner bout next.

“I feel a hundred percent that is why he did this,” Roach told BS.com. “He wants to be on TV so badly. He misses it. He’s actually a normal person and a nice guy when you’re one-on-one, without a camera on him. But you give him a camera, he’s not the nicest guy in the world.”

I don't know...it seems another retread fight. I would like to see FMJ KTFO. Simply put.

Problem is he understands that only too well, and will manipulate that for every last $ he can and a perennial place in the spotlight.

As he has done before, time after time. Now if only he'd step in with Errol Spence...
Come on Floyd you can do it!

I wouldn't be sure of that at all. He just made a sh*t load of money for an Exhibition in Japan. He's probably doing just fine still, and wondering how many more paydays for cakewalks he can get

It is considering how he got it. He could have those kinda exhibitions in him several times a year. Not that many times he could find somebody dumb enough to set 'em up that easy though

not saying hell be back but for the mega paydays he still needs to fight, 9ms a ton for us but just a sliver of what he has usually made, and these super rich guys get used to the huge paydays as if 10m ones were nothing much. he could make lots from business ventures but thats more of a long term thing. depends how bad he wants the money in the short term i suppose

i dont think he will officially fight again

Even Ali had a couple of exhibition stinkers. Remember this one?
